Abstract: A communication method is implemented in a transmission system comprising an emitter and a set of receivers. The method comprises, for at least one time-frequency resource, receiving, from each of the receivers, at least one piece of information relating to a technique for acquiring knowledge of the transmit channel. At least one of said receivers is configured to return to said emitter information relating to a first technique for acquiring knowledge of the transmit channel. At least one of said receivers is configured to return to said emitter information relating to a second technique for acquiring knowledge of the transmit channel. The method further comprises the selection, from said information received from the receivers, of a subset of receivers, included in the set of receivers, to which the emitter is configured to emit data on said at least one time-frequency resource.

Abstract: A method for configuring telemetry transmission includes receiving a transmitted telemetry signal at the earth's surface. The received signal is selected and processed to compute a measured power spectral density (PSD). A theoretical PSD is computed of the transmitted signal at the known carrier frequency and processed in combination with the measured PSD to compute an attenuation factor of the transmitted signal at a plurality of frequencies.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes an access point with an adjustable scan radio and a method of operating the access point. The access point operates a scan radio to determine first and second sets of metrics for packets detected by the scan radio with a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) greater than first and second RSSI thresholds, respectively. The access point also operates a service radio to determine a third set of metrics for packets transmitted by the service radio and determines a first weight and a second weight based on the third set of metrics. The access point further applies the first and second weights to the first and second sets of metrics to produce first and second sets of weighted metrics and adjusts the service radio based on the first and second sets of weighted metrics.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for transmitting and receiving data channels in a communication system. An operation method of a terminal in a communication system may comprise receiving, from a base station, resource allocation information of a plurality of physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs) used for repetitive transmission of a same transport block (TB); identifying a position of each of the plurality of PUSCHs in a time domain based on the resource allocation information; and repeatedly transmitting the same TB to the base station at the position of each of the plurality of PUSCHs. Therefore, performance of the communication system can be improved.

The implementations further include determining, by the control panel, whether the ambient noise is indicative of a security event. In some non-limiting implementations, the control panel may be configured to detect events based on various noise detection models, such as continued noise level above a threshold, noise associated with multiple short sharp impacts (e.g., an intruder trying to kick down a door), gunshot detection, voice recognition to identify a request for assistance (e.g., a person asking for help), glass break detection, or detection of a particular standardized pattern of beeps such as the temporal-three pattern of a smoke detector going off (according to ISO 8201 and ANSI/ASA S3.41 Temporal Pattern), the temporal-four pattern of a carbon monoxide detector going off, etc.
