    Abstract: A method of operating a first infrastructure equipment of a wireless communications network comprising a core network part, the first infrastructure equipment, a second infrastructure equipment acting as a backhaul relay node between the first infrastructure equipment and the core network part, and a downstream wireless communications device. The method comprising receiving from the second infrastructure equipment an indication of a first set of communications resources, allocating resource elements of the first set of communications resources for receiving first data for transmission to the core network part from the downstream wireless communications device, and receiving second data transmitted by the second infrastructure equipment on one or more resource elements within a second set of communications resources, the second set of communications resources different from the first set of communications resources.

    Abstract: A method of controlling communications within a wireless communications network is provided. The method comprises receiving, at a first infrastructure equipment acting as a donor node connected to a core network part of a wireless communications network, signals representing data from one or more others of infrastructure equipment, the data having been received at the one or more others of the infrastructure equipment from one or more communications devices or from other infrastructure equipment, and transmitting, by the first infrastructure equipment, the data from the one or more others of the infrastructure equipment to the core network part of the wireless communications network. At least one of the infrastructure equipment uses at least one spectral efficiency enhancing technique to receive the signals, the at least one spectral efficiency enhancing technique allowing the at least one infrastructure equipment to receive the signals in the backhaul communications link.

    Abstract: A method of transmitting data by a communications device, the method comprising receiving a plurality of service data units including a first service data unit and a second service data unit at a Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP), service access point (SAP) according to one or more quality of service (QoS) flows, each of the QoS flows defining a quality of service for the data received from the service data units, mapping the service data units received according to the one or more QoS flows on to one or more radio bearers, each of the one or more radio bearers being defined by a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity within a PDCP layer, forming the service data units into protocol data units for transmission via the radio bearer to which the corresponding QoS flow has been mapped, and transmitting the protocol data units via the corresponding radio bearer.

    Abstract: A method of operating an infrastructure equipment forming part of a wireless communications network comprises establishing a radio bearer in accordance with a radio resource connection procedure for transmitting data via a wireless access interface to the wireless communications network, the radio bearer including one or more quality of service flows. Each of the quality of service flows is associated with a communications service provided to the communications device and each of the quality of service flows is defined by parameters for communicating the data for the communications service. The parameters include a relative priority indicator providing an indication of a relative priority level for transmitting from the communications device the data with respect to other quality of service flows.
