摘要: A user plane function (UPF) receives, from a control plane function (CPF), a request to establish a layer 2 tunneling protocol (L2TP) tunnel for a first protocol data unit (PDU) session of a wireless device. The UPF sends, to the CPF, a message comprising a tunnel failure cause for the establishment of the L2TP tunnel for the first PDU session. The message indicating at least one of a L2TP tunnel failure of the L2TP tunnel, or a L2TP session failure associated with the L2TP tunnel.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of processing a data unit by a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. In particular, the method includes the steps of: configuring, by the UE, a radio bearer comprising a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity, wherein the PDCP entity is related to two or more Radio Link Control (RLC) groups and at least one of the two or more RLC groups comprises two or more RLC entities; selecting, by the PDCP entity of the UE, one of the two or more RLC groups; and based on a RLC group comprising two or more RLC entities being selected from the two or more RLC groups, duplicating, by the PDCP entity of the UE, a PDCP Protocol Data Unit (PDU); and submitting, by the PDCP entity of the UE, the PDCP PDU to the two or more RLC entities belonging to the selected RLC group.

摘要: A gateway establishes a local breakout (LBO) bearer concurrently with one or more bearers associated with a communication session involving a user equipment. The gateway selectively routes packets associated with the user equipment to the LBO bearer or the one or more bearers associated with the communication session based on one or more LBO rules implemented at the gateway. In some cases, the LBO rules are based on one or more of a quality of service (QoS) class identifier (QCI), a QoS flow identifier (QFI), and an uplink classifier (ULCL) associated with packets received by the gateway. Uplink packets from the user equipment are routed to a local application via the LBO bearer in response to one or more of the LBO rules being satisfied. Otherwise, uplink packets are routed to an external network via the one or more bearers associated with the communication session.

摘要: A device may utilize a point-to-point protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) and a point-to-point protocol (PPP) to register the device with a core network, and may establish a first packet data unit (PDU) session with the core network based on the PPPoE and the PPP. The device may configure the first PDU session, based on the PPPoE and the PPP, to provide a first service, and may generate first keep alive messages to maintain the first PDU session. The device may establish a second PDU session with the core network based on the PPPoE and the PPP, and may configure the second PDU session based on the PPPoE and the PPP, where the second PDU session is configured to provide a second service that is different than the first service. The device may generate second keep alive messages to maintain the second PDU session.

The first GTP-U tunnel address information and the second GTP-U tunnel address information identify a user plane tunnel that corresponds to the identifier of the network slice and that is between the first network device and the second network device.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for enabling signalling storm mitigation in Internet Protocol (IP) Security (IPsec)-secured virtual Radio Access Network (vRAN). In one embodiment a method in a first network node includes receiving a trigger to establish an IPsec session with a second network node, the IPsec session being associated with a user equipment (UE); responsive to the trigger to establish the IPsec session associated with the UE, derive a unique identifier for the UE; generate a Security Parameter Index (SPI) value based at least in part on the unique identifier derived for the UE, the SPI value being unique to the IPsec session; and communicate an indication of the SPI value to the second network node.
