Abstract: When performing data transmission with a first station in a bandwidth power saving mode by using an operating channel of the first station, an access point performs data transmission with a second station by using an operating channel of the second station. Therefore, even if the operating channel of the first station includes a primary channel, the access point can still perform data transmission with the second station by using another channel. Further, for the access point, although the operating channel of the first station occupies only a part of available bandwidth resources of the access point, the access point can still perform data transmission with the second station by using a remaining channel.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided, to support data transmission over a multi-access session through multiple 3GPP paths or multiple non-3GPP paths. Access technologies corresponding to a first transmission path and a second transmission path in the multi-access session are of a same access type. A session management device sends, to a mobility management device, tunnel information and access technology information that correspond to the transmission paths, where the access technology is used to determine an access network device. The mobility management device determines the access network device based on the access technology information, and sends the tunnel information to the access network device. In this application, the session management device sends, to the mobility management device, the access technology information which is a finer granularity than an access type, and the mobility management device can accurately identify a corresponding access network device based on the access technology information.

Abstract: A mobile application gateway for connecting devices on a cellular network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks and/or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise. The invention may consist of a primarily of core network and services components based on the IMS network architecture, and is backward compatible to support legacy systems in place in current telecom and data networks.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of transmitting/receiving a signal in a Mobile Management Entity (MME) of a mobile communication system, the method comprising: transmitting a subscriber information request message including information of a UE, to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS); receiving, from the HSS, a response message which corresponds to the request message and includes an indicator indicating whether it is possible to perform traffic offloading using a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) with regard to an Access Point Name (APN) connection or a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection of the UE; determining whether it is possible to perform the traffic offloading using the WLAN, on the basis of at least one of information included in the received response message and information configured in the MME; and; and transmitting, to the UE, a message including information on whether it is possible to perform the traffic offloading using the WLAN. A communication method according to an embodiment of the present specification can generate one or more PDN connections with regard to one APN when the UE accesses a PDN through the WLAN. Further, the communication method according to the present invention can effectively be subjected to a traffic offloading control by the eNB even when the UE is roaming.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to operate in a control mode. In some cases, the control mode may be an in active mode (e.g., a radio resource control (RRC) inactive mode). The UE may be configured to receive a control message from a network node. In some cases, the control message may include an uplink grant associated with a duration. The duration may relate to a timer, such as an expiration timer, for example. The UE may transmit an uplink transmission to the network node while operating in the control mode. The uplink transmission may be in accordance with the uplink grant and the duration. In some cases, prior to transmitting the uplink transmission, the UE may multiplex the uplink transmission with a second control message including an indication for the UE to remain in the control mode.

Abstract: Periodic requests for to Packet Flow Description, PFD, data updates on all Application Ids generate a constant background load in several network function nodes, even if applications have not been updated. There is provided a mechanism to optimize PFD management updates in a telecommunication network, whereby PFD data for a selected number of applications are stored and updated permanently, whilst PFD data for other applications are only temporarily stored so that storage and updates are released when these other applications are not in use. A list of permanent Application Ids is configured for the most frequently used applications. When a control rule specifies an Application Id not included in the list of permanent Application Ids, the specified Application Id is included in a list of temporary Application Ids, which are periodically checked and, when not used, are removed from the list of temporary Application Ids.
