For example, a time during which the DRX retransmission timer is running may be a time included in an active time of the first device. For example, the first device may initiate the Uu DRX timer. For example, an SL-specific MAC reset for the PC5-RRC connection with the second device is requested, and the initiated Uu DRX timer may stop on the basis that the initiated Uu DRX timer is running.

The method may include performing, using the assistance information, a device discovery procedure to discover the at least one other WTRU, wherein the device discovery procedure comprises at least one of: monitoring for signals from the at least one other WTRU using the assistance information, or sending a discovery announcement based on the assistance information and transmitting application data directly to the at least one other WTRU.
