The first value (601) is associated with normal coverage or with a first coverage enhancement level. The radio terminal (1) derives a second value (604) of the first radio resource configuration information element by converting (603) the first value (601) using a value of a conversion factor (602). The second value (604) is associated with a second coverage enhancement level. It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to reduction of data size necessary for the base station to notify the radio terminal of a plurality of radio resource configurations for a plurality of coverage enhancement levels.

摘要: A radio network (6) and a radio terminal (4) are configured to, when the radio terminal (4) is using a first cell (10) served by a first radio station (1) as a primary cell and a second cell (20) served by a second radio station (2) as a secondary cell, change the primary cell from the first cell (10) to a third cell (30) served by a third radio station (3) while keeping communication status information regarding the radio terminal (1) on the second cell (20). It is thus, for example, possible to enable a communication service in the secondary cell to be continued even after the primary cell is changed when the primary cell is changed during execution of carrier aggregation (e.g., Inter-eNB CA) on a plurality of cells served by different radio stations.

摘要: A method performed by apparatus for providing access to a communication network is disclosed. The method includes transmitting to at least one user equipment (UE) system information including random-access configuration information for configuring the UE to perform random-access procedures. The random-access configuration information includes a plurality of different physical random-access channel (PRACH) preamble formats that can be applied by the UE in a random-access procedure. The apparatus receives, from the UE, signalling for initiating a random-access procedure, the signalling including a random-access preamble having a one of the plurality of different PRACH preamble formats and communicates with the UE to continue and complete the random-access procedure initiated by the UE.

The radio terminal (2) supports dual connectivity involving a bearer split in which a first network bearer between the radio terminal (2) and a core network (3) is split over the first base station (11) and the second base station (12). The first base station (11) receives, from the second base station (12), bearer split status information about communication of the first network bearer in the second base station (12), and performs control of an access stratum related to the first network bearer. It is thus possible to contribute, for example, to an improvement in control of an access stratum when dual connectivity involving a bearer split is performed.
