摘要: Base station antennas include a main module that has a first backplane that includes a first reflector. A vertically-extending array of first radiating elements is mounted to extend forwardly from the first reflector, and at least one first RF port is coupled to the vertically-extending array of first radiating elements. These antennas further include a sub-module that is attached to the first backplane. The sub-module includes a second backplane that has a second reflector that is separate from the first reflector. A vertically-extending array of second radiating elements is mounted to extend forwardly from the second reflector and is transversely spaced-apart from the vertically-extending array of first radiating elements. A plurality of second RF ports are coupled to the vertically-extending array of second radiating elements. The vertically-extending array of first radiating elements and the vertically-extending array of second radiating elements are configured to serve a common sector of a base station.

摘要: A system for providing temporary, transportable cellular communications networks is disclosed. The system includes at least one mobile base station and a control system. The mobile base station can include an aerial vehicular base station with a frame and propellers mounted on the frame that enable flight of the aerial vehicular base station while the control system is configured to control the flight path and functioning of the aerial vehicular base station. The aerial vehicular base station includes hardware and software components for providing cellular network coverage for short ranges. The control system determines the safe flight path for the aerial vehicular base station to reach a service location to provide cellular network coverage. The aerial vehicular base station identifies the closest base stations and available spectrum at the service location to provide communication services for the user equipment at the service location.

摘要: A method and apparatus for planning a wireless communication network operating in a spectrum-controlled radio band and determining spectrum availability at an enterprise location. A plurality of network models are generated using machine learning techniques, the network models are provided to a network planner unit, input is received regarding intended deployment, and spectrum availability is determined responsive to the enterprise location. The number of BS/APs needed is estimated, and an enterprise network may be planned and deployed. The enterprise network is monitored, and if network operation is not meeting expected performance, the models may be retrained and the network planner updated. Spectrum availability is determined by registering a discovery group with an SAS at a location to provide spectrum availability, and repeating for each location. The method may be periodically performed to generate a time series of data which may be analyzed to provide spectrum availability.

摘要: In a system where a first node provides a first area of TDD coverage on a first TDD carrier using a first TDD configuration and an adjacent second node provides a second area of TDD coverage on a second TDD carrier using a different second TDD configuration, the first node could additionally provide an area of FDD coverage on a first FDD carrier, including causing the area of FDD coverage to sit at least partially between the first and second areas of TDD coverage and therefore to define a spatial buffer between the first and second areas of TDD coverage. For instance, the first access node could restrict its service on the first TDD carrier to be for user equipment devices (UEs) that are relatively close to the first access node and could restrict its service on the first FDD carrier to be for UEs that are relatively far away from the first access node.

One example method includes providing, using a server, seamless wireless connectivity in an area in which a plurality of network nodes are organized as clusters, where each network node is configured to provide wireless connectivity via N angular sectors covering a surrounding area, where N is an integer and wherein angular sectors of the plurality of network nodes collectively cover the area; controlling, by the server, network nodes in a cluster to collect channel condition information for the N angular sectors and communicate the channel condition information to the network-side server, and operating the server to use the channel condition information collected from the network nodes in the cluster to control communication for the network nodes in the cluster at a different time or a different frequency or a different spatial direction.

At least one of the second radio station (2) and the radio terminal (3) is configured to transmit, to the first radio station (10), information about a problem occurring in a radio link in the second cell (20) between the second radio station (20) and the radio terminal (30) while the carrier aggregation of the first cell (10) and the second cell (20) is being performed.
