摘要: The disclosure concerns a communication system where adaptive antenna systems with algorithm are used to provide improved channel selection management in Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and other multi-node communication systems. The adaptive antenna systems can be integrated into multiple nodes of a communication network, such as access points used in WLAN, and multiple radiation modes generated and tracked to determine optimal mode for access point to client communication links to assist in channel selection across the nodes in the network. Adaptive antenna system modes are selected and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) is measured across available frequency channels to determine channels to assign per access point along with radiation modes to be implemented that results in improved SNR for the communication links established in the network.

摘要: In a communication system having a plurality of user equipment (UE) devices that are operating in a contention based mode for device-to-device (D2D) communication, each UE device transmits a preferred transmission indicator when a condition for preferred transmission is met at the UE device. If a UE device receives a preferred transmission indicator, the UE device delays transmission of a D2D scheduling assignment (SA) to contend for communication resources for D2D communication. The length of the delay can be based on a number of preferred transmission indicators that are received. The preferred transmission indicator is based on a buffer size in one example.

摘要: Many network devices initially connect to a network using a wireless frequency band that may not provide the best network performance. A wireless management module can determine that a network device, such as a mobile phone, is connected to the wireless network using an inferior wireless frequency band, for example, the 2.4 GHz wireless frequency band, even though a superior wireless frequency band, for example, the 5 GHz wireless frequency band is available or accessible. Based on a device setting, the wireless management module can automatically switch the mobile network device to the higher frequency wireless frequency band without requiring any user intervention. Additionally, or in the alternative, the wireless management module can prompt the user to allow switching to a different wireless frequency band. Switching to the higher frequency band improves network performance for the network device.

摘要: Aspects relate to measuring interference associated with sidelink communication. A UE that supports full-duplex communication may transmit on a first frequency resource and conduct self-interference measurements on a second frequency resource (e.g., a guard band) adjacent to the first frequency resource. Provisions may be made to ensure that other nearby wireless communication devices do not transmit on the second set of frequency resources when the UE is conducting an interference measurement. In a first resource allocation mode, a base station that allocates full-duplex resources for a first UE may ensure that any UEs that are near the first UE are not scheduled to transmit on a guard band when the UE is conducting an interference measurement. In a second resource allocation mode, a UE may reserve resources that are predefined with a guard band or the UE may reserve resources and use a subset of the resources for interference measurements.

The wireless communication device monitors for a downlink control message over the downlink control channel by excluding monitoring in at least the first PDCCH candidate search space based on the determining.
