For example, a wireless communication device such as a user equipment (UE) may use a default communication configuration that includes quasi-colocation information (e.g., a default CORESET configuration) for communication on a secondary component carrier (SCC). The default communication configuration may be used, for example, in scenarios where a CORESET is not defined for the SCC and other configuration information is not available. For example, other configuration information might not be available due to a short time gap between a grant sent on a primary component carrier (PCC) and the communication on the SCC scheduled by the grant.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclose provide various methods and apparatuses for communicating, controlling, and configuring component carrier and bandwidth part (BWP). A scheduling entity receives a capability report from a user equipment (UE). The capability report indicates a capability of the UE to utilize at least one of carrier aggregation (CA) or one or more bandwidth parts. The scheduling entity transmits a command to the UE to reconfigure at least one of a CA configuration or a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration. The scheduling entity determines an anticipated response timing of an acknowledgment (ACK) of the command based on the capability report received from the UE. The scheduling entity receives the ACK according to the anticipated response timing.

Abstract: In order to improve the selection of search space candidates for a downlink control channel, an apparatus determines a set of decoding candidates of a lower aggregation level for a downlink control channel based on a random selection from a plurality of potential decoding candidates, wherein the plurality of potential decoding candidates are defined from a second set of decoding candidates of a higher aggregation level. The apparatus then attempts to decode the downlink control channel based on determined sets of decoding candidates of different aggregation levels. The downlink control channel may comprise a PDCCH.
