摘要: A method for producing a molded product formed of foamable plastics particles using a foaming tool for processing the foamable plastics particles, wherein the molded product includes at least one region that forms at least one portion of a cavity. The method for forming the molded product includes introducing pre-foamed plastics particles into the cavity, and processing the pre-foamed plastics particles into the molded product by expanding the pre-foamed plastics particles such that the pre-foamed plastics particles expand in the cavity thereby forming the molded product. At least one part of a surface structure of the at least one region forming a surface of the at least one portion of the cavity is produced by an additive method. The surface structure includes multiple elevations and depressions in the surface of the foaming tool.

摘要: A light diffusion plate is configured to be assembled with a blue light source module having blue Mini LEDs to form a white light backlight module. The light diffusion plate is added with organic dyes with light-emission wavelength of 490-650 nm in order to convert the blue light into white light. The light diffusion plate is made by a foaming extrusion process and contains a plurality of micro-bubbles with a size of 60-400 μm and a weight-reduction ratio of 15-25% for improving the uniformity of white light and resolving the MURA problem. The size of micro-bubbles is controlled by reducing the temperature of at the exit end of the T-die head, such that the wavelength of the white light emitted from the light diffusion plate can be narrower to achieve the effect of wider color gamut display.

The honeycomb core includes a plurality of cells that are defined by partition walls and extend in an axial direction. The fiber-reinforced resin layer is disposed around the honeycomb core. The fiber-reinforced resin layer includes continuous fibers wound around the honeycomb core. The protection layer is interposed between the honeycomb core and the fiber-reinforced resin layer. The protection layer is configured to prevent rupture of the continuous fibers.

摘要: A method for producing polypropylene-based resin (PPBR) expanded beads may include dispersing, first expanding, and second expanding. In the dispersing, resin particles are dispersed in a dispersion medium, the resin particles each including a core layer, containing carbon black blended into PPBR in a predetermined ratio, based on 100 parts by mass of PPBR, and a covering layer covering the core layer, containing carbon black blended into a polyolefin-based resin (POBR) in a predetermined ratio, based on 100 parts by mass of POBR. The first expanding expands the core layer of the resin particle to obtain a first expanded bead having a bulk ratio of 5 to 25 times. The second expanding expands the first expanded beads further to obtain second expanded beads. An M2/M1 ratio of a bulk ratio M2 of the second expanded beads to a bulk ratio M1 of the first expanded beads is 1.2 to 3.0.

摘要: The present invention provides a continuous process for solid-state expansion of a biopolymer, e.g., polylactic acid, which can be used to manufacture reduced-density thermoplastic materials with improved physical and thermal properties. By incorporating multiple stages of heating into the process as a means to regulate heat flux, unprecedented control of microstructure and crystallinity can be achieved. Thermoplastic sheets with the distinct cellular characteristics implied by the process disclosed herein were found to be thicker and stronger than materials prepared by conventional processes. Thermoforming sheets with such characteristics enabled the production of light-weight thermally-stable, compostable products that resist warping, and are thus suitable for a range of industrial applications.

摘要: A pressure sensing system (24), seat cushion (20) incorporating the pressure sensing system, and method of sensing a weight group associated with an occupant of an automotive seat are described. The pressure sensing system includes a layer of an electrically conductive foam (28) and a flexible printed circuit (26) that includes a flexible substrate (26a) and N horizontal sensing wires (26b) and M vertical sensing wires (26c) securely placed on a top surface of the flexible substrate. The horizontal sensing wires intersect with the vertical sensing wires and form N×M intersections. The layer of an electrically conductive foam is placed on top of the N horizontal sensing wires and the M vertical sensing wires. When a pressure is applied to the layer of the electrically conductive foam, each intersection generates in real time an electric flux density value to reflect a degree of a compression caused by the pressure to a corresponding point of the electrically conductive foam.

摘要: A foam article, such as a cushioning element for an article of footwear, apparel or sporting equipment is provided that comprises a foam component, such as a midsole, having a number of beneficial physical characteristics. The cushioning element is a low-density foamed component with a surface skin that encases the remaining foam volume. The cushioning element has a number of foam volumes, arranged to achieve a more consistent foam component. Additionally, the cushioning element includes a series of concentric ridges extending radially outwardly from injection gate vestige locations, and a number of striation bands near the perimeter of the cushioning element. The location of the gate vestiges can be beneficially arranged to produce intersecting flow boundaries that are located away from key strain areas of the cushioning element. The cushioning element is more environmentally-friendly, requiring less energy to produce while still providing acceptable energy return and low density.
