摘要: A degradation-determination system includes at least four strain gauges that are installed on a principal surface of a lithium-ion battery and each of which is configured to detect pressure of a battery surface at a corresponding installation position, and a degradation determining unit configured to determine degradation of the lithium-ion battery based on measured values at the strain gauges. The degradation determining unit is configured to estimate a maximum expansion position where volume expansion is maximal in a region defined by the strain gauges, of the surface of the lithium-ion battery.

摘要: The present disclosure concerns a pressure sensor, comprising at least two adjacent electrically conductive leads disposed in a pattern on a face of a first elastomeric carrier; and an electrically resistive layer formed of a electrically resistive composite material for shunting the at least two adjacent electrically conductive leads, said electrically conducting layer disposed on a face of a second elastomeric carrier. The first and second carriers are stacked across a spacer such that the at least two adjacent electrically conductive leads faces the electrically resistive layer across a gap defined by the spacer. The gap is formed by a pocket between the carriers. The first carrier including the at least two adjacent electrically conductive leads and/or the second carrier including the electrically resistive layer are stretchable such as to upon receiving a force, exerted in a direction across the gap, reduce the gap between the electrically resistive layer and the at least two adjacent electrically conductive leads. Upon closing the gap the adjacent electrically conductive leads are shunted over a force dependent contact area and contact resistance. A gas in a gas confining structure between the carriers at least partly counteracts the exerted force.

摘要: A pressure sensing system (24), seat cushion (20) incorporating the pressure sensing system, and method of sensing a weight group associated with an occupant of an automotive seat are described. The pressure sensing system includes a layer of an electrically conductive foam (28) and a flexible printed circuit (26) that includes a flexible substrate (26a) and N horizontal sensing wires (26b) and M vertical sensing wires (26c) securely placed on a top surface of the flexible substrate. The horizontal sensing wires intersect with the vertical sensing wires and form N×M intersections. The layer of an electrically conductive foam is placed on top of the N horizontal sensing wires and the M vertical sensing wires. When a pressure is applied to the layer of the electrically conductive foam, each intersection generates in real time an electric flux density value to reflect a degree of a compression caused by the pressure to a corresponding point of the electrically conductive foam.

摘要: An athletic performance monitoring system includes an article of apparel having a upper body portion and a lower body portion, a sensor system configured to sense a movement of the user and including an upper body sensor connected to the upper body portion, a lower body sensor connected to the lower body portion, at least one port in communication with the sensors, and a plurality of conductive leads connecting the sensors to the port(s). The sensors may be stretch-based sensors that increase in resistance upon tensile deformation. At least one electronic module is connected to the port(s) to collect movement data from the sensors through the port(s). The module(s) may analyze the movement data and provide real-time feedback to the user regarding the movement of the user, based on analysis of the movement data, or the module(s) may transmit the movement data to an external device for analysis.

摘要: The present invention relates to a flexible sensor strip for measuring geometric shapes, in particular bending radii or the like, and to an associated device which can process and evaluate sensor signals of the sensor strip. The sensor strip comprises a substrate, on which a plurality of resistor pairs is arranged. Each of these resistor pairs has a resistor on the substrate front side and a further resistor on the substrate rear side. Both of these resistors are connected in series and between the poles of a supply voltage so that they form a voltage divider. The special feature of the present invention is that an electrical via and/or a pair of electrically interconnected contact elements is provided for the series circuit, that is, for the connection between the two resistors. When the substrate or the sensitive region of the sensor strip is moved into itself, in particular in the event of bending and/or twisting (torsion), the mid voltages in the affected voltage dividers change. This is sensed and evaluated by the measuring device according to the invention.
