摘要: A curable composition for preparing a low density cast silicone foam includes a first part and a second part. The first part includes particular amounts of an alkenyl-terminated polyorganosiloxane; an alkenyl-substituted copolyorganosiloxane; an alkenyl-substituted MQ polyorganosiloxane; a cure catalyst; an inorganic filler; and a chemical blowing agent. The second part includes a hydride-substituted polyorganosiloxane. The resulting silicone foams advantageously have a density of less than 240 kg/m3; and a closed cell content of at least 50%. Cured silicone foams and methods for the manufacture thereof are also described.

摘要: A process for producing a polyurethane or polyisocyanurate construction board, the process comprising (i) providing an A-side reactant stream that includes an isocyanate-containing compound; (ii) providing a B-side reactant stream that includes a polyol, where the B-side reactant stream includes a blowing agent that includes a pentane and a blowing agent additive that has a Hansen Solubility Parameter (δt) that is greater than 17 MPa−0.5; and (iii) mixing the A-side reactant stream with the B-side reactant stream to produce a reaction mixture.

摘要: This invention relates to thermoset, thermal insulating panel, pour-in-place and pour-in-place foams having desirable and unexpectedly low thermal conductivity, and to compositions, method and systems which use and/or are used to make such foams comprising: (a) providing thermosetting foam forming component and a blowing agent for forming predominantly closed cells in the foam, wherein the blowing agent comprises: (i) cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene (HFO-1336mzzm(Z)) and cyclopentane, with the HFO-1336mzzm(Z) and cyclopentane in the blowing agent together comprising at least about 50% by weight of the total of all components in the blowing agent and (ii) the weight ratio of HFO-1336mzzm(Z) to cyclopentane in the blowing agent is from about 45:55 to less than 68:32 and (b) forming foam from said provided foamable composition.

摘要: The present invention relates to the technical field of polymer composite materials, and specifically, to a shear thickening composite material, a preparation method therefor, and use thereof. According to the present invention, a solid composite material with shear thickening performance is prepared by limiting the types and contents of all components in raw materials. This composite material is kept soft and has a proper elastic shape under a normal state, and can be rapidly subjected to strain enhancement through local density increase when being rapidly and violently impacted or extruded, so that a significant shear thickening phenomenon is presented, namely this material is a hard solid when being impacted by an external force, then this material has an increasing strength with the increase of the external force, and this material restores to an original relaxed, soft, and elastic state when the external force is removed.

摘要: A shoe midsole composed of a foamed peroxide-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer includes a silane-grafted polyolefin component, an elastomeric component, and additives dispersed in the foamed peroxide-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer. The elastomer component includes one or more elastomeric polymers selected from the group consisting of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, polyolefin elastomers, olefin block copolymer, polyoctenamer, anhydride modified ethylene copolymers, ethylene propylene diene terpolymer, and combinations thereof. The silane-grafted polyolefin component and elastomer component are crosslinked with C—C bonds. Advantageously, the foamed peroxide-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer is substantially free of silane crosslinking as formed and substantially free of water. Characteristically, the additives and one or more elastomeric polymers are in sufficient amount that a melting temperature of crystalline regions in the foamed peroxide-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer is greater than 100° C. as measured by differential scanning calorimeter thermographs.

The polyurethane foam composition comprises a poly mixture comprising a first polyol-based compound having a glass transition temperature of −50° C. or lower, a second polyol-based compound having a weight-average molecular weight of 5,000 g/mol to 30,000 g/mol and comprising at least three functional groups reactive with an isocyanate group, and a third polyol-based compound having a heat release capacity of 500 J/g·K or less; an isocyanate-based curing agent; and a filler.
