摘要: Heterogeneous azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions comprising Z-1-chloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HCFO-1224yd(Z)) and water which may include from about 47.0 wt. % to about 99.7 wt. % Z-1-chloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HCFO-1224yd(Z)) and from about 0.3 wt. % to about 53.0 wt. % water and having a boiling point between about 13.0° C. and about 14.0° C. at a pressure of between about 14.0 psia and about 15.0 psia. The azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions may be used to as blowing agents in the formation of foams.

摘要: Methods for forming extruded polystyrene foam comprising: (a) providing a thermoplastic melt and a blowing agent in the melt comprising: (1) from about 10% by weight to about 50% by weight of HCFO-1233zd(E); (2) from about 35% by weight to about 75% by weight of HFC-134a; (3) from about 10% to about 30% by weight of isobutane; and (4) optionally up to about 15% by weight of dimethyl ether; and (b) foaming the thermoplastic material.

摘要: The present invention provides all liquid, two-component foam forming compositions for forming fire-resistant rigid polyurethane foams comprising a chlorine-free liquid flame retardant (FR) additive. The compositions comprise a polyisocyanate component and, as a separate component, a polyol component of a blend of one or more high hydroxyl functional aromatic polyester polyols and one or more low hydroxyl functional aromatic polyester polyols, a novolac polyether polyol, a trimerization catalysts, a liquid FR additive, preferably, one FR additive, more preferably, a halogen free FR additive, and water, or water and a physical blowing agent as a blowing agent. The low hydroxyl functional aromatic polyester polyols enable the provision of readily processible, all liquid polyol components having a low viscosity as well as ASTM E84A Class A rated rigid polyurethane foams.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of reducing the lambda aging of a polyurethane foam, a polyisocyanurate foam or a mixture thereof comprising producing the foam from a foamable composition comprising an isocyanate and a polyol premix composition comprising a polyol or mixture of polyols, a blowing agent selected from the group consisting of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (1234ze), 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluorobut-2-ene (1336mzzm) and/or 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1233zd) and a flame retardant wherein the flame retardant comprises 25 phpp or less of a phosphate based flame retardant.

摘要: The mixing system includes a first container filled with a polyol composition, a second container filled with an isocyanate composition, and a stationary mixer configured to mix the polyol composition discharged from the first container and the isocyanate composition discharged from the second container. The polyol composition includes a polyol, a catalyst, and a low boiling point compound having a boiling point of less than 0° C. The isocyanate composition includes an isocyanate compound and a low boiling point compound having a boiling point of less than 0° C. The first container and the second container each have an internal pressure in a range of 0.3 to 1.0 MPa at 35° C., and a mixer portion of the stationary mixer has a length of 30 to 230 mm. A mixing system can be provided that enhances the mixability of a polyol composition and a polyisocyanate composition in a stationary mixer and prevents curing in the stationary mixer.

摘要: Storage-stable two-component polyurethane or polyisocyanurate spray foam compositions are disclosed, said compositions comprising: (a) an A-side component comprising one or more polyisocyanate and one or more catalyst; and (b) a B-side component comprising one or more polyol; and further comprising one or more hydrohaloolefin blowing agent in either the A-side component or the B-side component, or in both; wherein both the A-side component and the B-side component, separately, generate less than 600 ppm of fluoride ion after two weeks of aging at 50° C.
