摘要: Disclosed are a foaming agent composition for polyurethane including glycerol carbonate as a chemical foaming agent and a physical foaming agent or a chemical foaming agent in a predetermined ratio (physicochemical foaming agent), and polyurethane foam prepared using the same. The polyurethane foam has very low global warming potential and ozone depletion potential and simultaneously improved properties such as thermal conductivity, water absorption, flexural strength, and compressive strength that meet the standard for thermal insulation materials made of rigid urethane foam, and is effective at preventing internal shrinkage.

摘要: The present invention provides materials and methods for forming an interface between an appliance and living tissue using a foamed elastomeric material which contacts the tissue or similar surfaces. The elastomeric material is in the form of a durable and washable material that when applied to living tissue or similar surfaces displaces and flows in to non-conforming areas creating an air and/or water tight seal that substantially returns to an original shape when removed from the contact surface. The appliance may also include structural elements designed to optimize comfort, compliance and seal achieved through minimizing the pressure variation along the contact surface of the therapy device.

摘要: A method for forming a polyurethane foam with reduced emissions is provided. The method includes a step of reacting a mixture comprising a polyol composition, an isocyanate composition, and a butylated triphenyl phosphate ester, The reaction forms a polyurethane foam. Characteristically, the butylated triphenyl phosphate ester is present in a sufficient amount to inhibit emission of propionaldehyde, formaldehyde, and acetaldehyde.

摘要: Inorganic infrared attenuation agent blends have been developed to improve the thermal insulation properties of polymeric foams such as polystyrene low density foams. The inorganic infrared attenuation agent blends can include two or more metal oxides such as silicon dioxide, manganese (IV) oxide, iron (III) oxide, magnesium oxide, bismuth (III) oxide, cobalt oxide, zirconium (IV) oxide, molybdenum (III) oxide, titanium oxide, and calcium oxide. In some preferred embodiments, the inorganic infrared attenuation agent blends can include four or more of these metal oxides.

摘要: A method of producing a closed-cell and rigid foam. The method comprises reacting an isocyanate composition including one or more polyisocyanates and a polyol composition including one or more polyols including one or more aromatic polyester polyols having a hydroxyl functionality of greater than 2 and one or more physical and/or chemical blowing agents including methylal to form a closed-cell and rigid foam configured to retain at least 85% of an initial volume of the closed-cell and rigid foam when exposed to about 97% relative humidity at about 70° C. for at least seven or more days.

摘要: A styrene resin extruded foam includes a styrene resin, a flame retarder, a hydrofluoroolefin, an alcohol, and at least one selected from the group consisting of a saturated hydrocarbon having 3 to 5 carbon atoms, dimethyl ether, and alkyl chloride. An amount of the flame retarder is 0.5 to 8.0 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the styrene resin. The styrene resin extruded foam has an apparent density of 20 to 45 kg/m3 and a closed cell ratio of not less than 90%. An amount of the hydrofluoroolefin added is 65 to 90 mol % relative to 100 mol % in total of the hydrofluoroolefin and the alcohol which are added. An amount of the alcohol added is 10 to 35 mol % relative to 100 mol % in total of the hydrofluoroolefin and the alcohol which are added.

摘要: Disclosed are porous resin particles which contain a polymer of a monomer mixture of a mono(meth)acrylate-based monomer and a polyfunctional vinyl-based monomer. The mono(meth)acrylate-based monomer contains an ethylenic unsaturated group only in a (meth)acrylic acid residue, a hydroxyl group in an alcohol residue, and at least one of an ether group and an ester group in an alcohol residue. The polyfunctional vinyl-based monomer contains two or more ethylenic unsaturated groups. The porous resin particles have a water absorption value of from more than 400 ml to 700 ml per 100 g of the particles and an oil absorption value of from more than 400 ml to 700 ml per 100 g of the particles.
