Abstract: Described herein are glass articles and methods of making glass articles, comprising a thin sheet and a carrier, wherein the thin sheet and carrier or bonded together using a coating layer, which is preferably an organosiloxane polymer coating layer, and associated deposition methods and inert gas treatments that may be applied on the thin sheet, the carrier, or both, to control van der Waals, hydrogen and covalent bonding between the thin sheet and the carrier. The coating layer bonds the thin sheet and carrier together to prevent a permanent bond at high temperature processing while at the same time maintaining a sufficient bond to prevent delamination during high temperature processing.

Abstract: A process for producing a polyurethane or polyisocyanurate construction board, the process comprising of providing an A-side reactant stream that includes an isocyanate-containing compound; providing a B-side reactant stream that includes a polyol, where the B-side reactant steam includes a blowing agent mixture including isopentane and a blowing agent additive that has a Hansen Solubility Parameter (δt) that is greater than 15 MPa0.5; and mixing the A-side reactant stream with the B-side reactant stream to produce a reaction mixture.

Abstract: A stone plastic composite (SPC) floor includes a decorative surface. The SPC floor has an SPC substrate and a decorative surface formed on the SPC substrate; the decorative surface is a wooden board or a bamboo board; the moisture content of the decorative surface is controlled within 5-7%. The SPC substrate is divided into an upper layer, a middle layer, and a lower layer, and the main components of the SPC substrate comprise polyvinyl chloride resin powder, calcium carbonate, a calcium-zinc stabilizer, an inner lubricant, PE wax, chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), acrylic ester (ACR), a composite lubricant, and a coloring agent. The SPC floor can ensure that the decorative surface does not wrap and deform, and other performances of the floor are not affected, and thus is low in costs.

Abstract: An embodiment relates to a multilayer graphite sheet with excellent electromagnetic shielding capability and thermal conductivity, and a manufacturing method therefor, wherein the multilayer graphite sheet has a multilayer structure of five or more layers in total and can be manufactured to have a thick thickness of 70 μm or more such that the electromagnetic shielding capability can be significantly improved. In addition, the multilayer graphite sheet is manufactured by graphitizing a hybrid laminate in which heterogeneous materials are mixed such that thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding capability can be simultaneously realized at a lower cost, thereby being useful as a thick film sheet which used in various applications such as home appliances and electric vehicles.

Abstract: Pelagic Sargasso seaweed masses floods Caribbean Islands and Gulf of Mexico shores. Eighty percent of those masses are water, and out of the water those masses rot fast. There was not a profitable use for them until now. Sargasso is collected, compressed and dried by the air in thin sheets or mats, locally in a low- tech process. Once the sheets and mats are dried, they are stable and light. They have many uses such as thermal and sound barriers, sound absorbers, shock absorbers, air filters, etc.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to laminated articles, such as containers for food and beverages, that are biodegradable and/or paper recyclable. The articles include a shaped fibrous substrate that is air permeable and formed from plant fibers. A film made from a biodegradable and/or paper recyclable polymer is laminated to the substrate to produce a liquid impermeable barrier. The composite article is capable of being frozen and/or heated using, for instance, a microwave oven without delaminating.
