Abstract: An apparatus and a method for powder bed fusion additive manufacturing involve a multiple-chamber design achieving a high efficiency and throughput. The multiple-chamber design features concurrent printing of one or more print jobs inside one or more build chambers, side removals of printed objects from build chambers allowing quick exchanges of powdered materials, and capabilities of elevated process temperature controls of build chambers and post processing heat treatments of printed objects. The multiple-chamber design also includes a height-adjustable optical assembly in combination with a fixed build platform method suitable for large and heavy printed objects.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus effectively suppresses a temperature increase in a liquid crystal panel, and includes: a liquid crystal panel; a panel housing configured to accommodate the liquid crystal panel; a first transparent member disposed on a front face side of the liquid crystal panel; and a frame member configured to hold the first transparent member and to be attachable to the panel housing, the frame member defining an interval between the liquid crystal panel and the first transparent member, and forming, between the liquid crystal panel and the first transparent member, a void that allows a coolant to flow along a front face of the liquid crystal panel. The panel housing includes an entrance flow path of the coolant formed at a first part of the panel housing, and an exit flow path of the coolant formed at a second part of the panel housing excluding the first part, and the frame member includes an introduction hole that has one end coupled to the entrance flow path and causes the entrance flow path to be communicated with the void, and a discharge hole that has one end coupled to the exit flow path and causes the exit flow path to be communicated with the void.

Abstract: Embodiments of a curved display assembly are disclosed. The assembly includes a glass sheet having first and second major surfaces. The second major surface defines a first curvature of the glass sheet, and the first curvature has a bend axis. The assembly also includes a curved display having a second thickness between first and second display surfaces. The display has a display region and two overhanging edges adjacent to the display region and parallel to the bend axis. A first adhesive bonds the second display surface to the second major surface in the display region. A second adhesive is disposed between each of the two overhanging edges and the second major surface. The second adhesive has a higher elastic modulus than the first adhesive. The overhanging edges each extend a distance outside of the display area that is at least three times the second thickness of the curved display.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device comprises image signal lines, scanning signal lines, pixels, a display area, pixel electrodes, and common electrodes. The first and second common electrodes are supplied a signal different from each other. A second slit is provided in the first common electrode.
