Abstract: An adhesive film for metal terminal, which is to be interposed between a metal terminal electrically connected to an electrode of a power storage device element and a power storage device packaging material for sealing the power storage device element, wherein the adhesive film for metal terminal includes a laminate including at least an acid-modified polyolefin layer for forming a metal terminal-facing surface and a polyolefin layer for forming a power storage device packaging material-facing surface, and a ratio of arithmetic surface roughness RaA (μm) of the metal terminal-facing surface of the acid-modified polyolefin layer to arithmetic surface roughness RaB (μm) of the power storage device packaging material-facing surface of the polyolefin layer satisfies the relationship: RaA/RaB>1.2.

Abstract: A composite foam article is disclosed herein. The composite foam article comprises a polyurethane foam core presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first skin is disposed on the first surface and a second skin is disposed on the second surface. The first and second skins comprise a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder. The composite foam article also comprises at least one supplemental layer comprising an ethylene and acrylic acid copolymer dispersed in and/or disposed between any of said aforementioned skins and core.

Abstract: An insulating resin composition includes at least a base resin, and an antioxidant. The base resin includes a polyolefin resin modified with a polar group-containing molecule and an unmodified polyolefin resin. The polar group-containing molecule is at least one selected from an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride, and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride derivative. The base resin has a sea-island structure including a first phase having the unmodified polyolefin resin and a second phase provided in the first phase and having the modified polyolefin resin. The second phase has an average diameter of 2 μm or less.

Abstract: A multilayer material includes n base units with n being a natural, non-zero integer, a base unit including a laminate having in order: a cross-linked silicone resin layer having expandable graphite particles from a temperature greater than a cross-linking temperature of the resin, and an impregnated silica or alumina fabric or knit layer, the fabric or knit being provided with gaps, all impregnated with a cross-linked silicone resin, having expandable graphite particles from a temperature greater than a cross-linking temperature of the resin. The number n of base units is between 1 and 5 inclusive. The nth base unit being covered with another cross-linked silicone resin layer, also having expandable graphite particles from a temperature greater than a cross-linking temperature of the resin, to form a laminate with an alternating resin layer and a fabric or knit layer.

Abstract: An antiviral material is provided. The antiviral material includes a polymeric matrix and graphene particles dispersed in the polymeric matrix at a concentration of greater than or equal to about 0.05 wt. % to less than or equal to about 10 wt. % based on the total weight of the antiviral material, wherein the antiviral material exhibits antiviral activity. Methods of making the antiviral material and uses of the antiviral material are also provided.

Abstract: A method of making a liner for an appliance is provided that includes: mixing a polymeric capping layer precursor and a pigment additive; forming the capping layer precursor and the pigment additive into a capping layer at a capping layer formation temperature; and rolling the capping layer, a barrier layer and a polymeric base layer together to form a liner, each of the capping layer, the barrier layer and the base layer at about the capping layer formation temperature. Further, the liner comprises a capping region, a barrier region and a base region, the capping region comprising the pigment additive.
