    摘要: Polymer composite materials are disclosed containing one or more chemical scavengers. The polymer composites are porous and are configured to be contacted with a liquid for removing trace amounts of metals, proteins, polypeptides, polyphenols, other organic compounds, and the like. In order to produce the porous composite polymer product, one or more chemical scavengers are combined with thermoplastic polymer particles and sintered into a shape. The polymer particles act as a binder trapping or encasing the one or more chemical scavengers in the porous structure.

    摘要: A hydrophilic porous polymer film is disclosed that is particularly well-suited for use in an electrolysis cell producing hydrogen. The porous polymer film contains one or more high-density polyethylene polymers in combination with one or more hydrophilic additives. The porous film can be formed through a gel extrusion process or through sintering. Extremely thin films can be produced that have desired permeability characteristics, hydrophilicity characteristics, and mechanical characteristics necessary for use in the cell.

    摘要: Compositions and processes for producing high purity acesulfame potassium are described. One process comprises the steps of forming a cyclic sulfur trioxide adduct; hydrolyzing the cyclic sulfur trioxide adduct to form an acesulfame-H composition comprising acesulfame-H; neutralizing the acesulfame-H in the acesulfame-H composition to form a crude acesulfame potassium composition comprising acesulfame potassium and less than 2800 wppm acetoacetamide-N-sulfonic acid, wherein the neutralizing step is conducted or maintained at a pH at or below 11.0; and treating the crude acesulfame potassium composition to form the finished acesulfame potassium composition comprising acesulfame potassium and less than 37 wppm acetoacetamide-N-sulfonic acid.
