摘要: A piece of substrate material is formed under heat and pressure by a roller against a cavity or platen into a shaped substrate sheet having one or more depressions. Two substrate sheets are bonded together to form a substrate wherein the one or more depressions form one or more interior channels. The substrate is coated with a dope in a casting device having a guide portion corresponding to the shape of the substrate sheets and quenched to form a filtering membrane.

摘要: A disclosed screening apparatus includes a subgrid, and a screen element attached to the subgrid via laser welding at a plurality of attachment positions such that, under vibrational excitation, the screen element has a pre-determined profile of vibrational motion relative to the subgrid. The screen element may be attached at a maximal number of attachment locations to the subgrid to minimize relative motion of the screen element and the subgrid under vibrational excitation, or the screen element may be attached a sub-set of the maximal number of attachment locations to allow vibrational motion of the screen element relative to the subgrid. A disclosed method may include attaching a plurality of screen elements to a respective plurality of subgrids, attaching the plurality of subgrids to one another to form a screening pre-assembly, and cutting edges of the screening pre-assembly to form the screen assembly having a perimeter with a pre-determined shape.

摘要: Fabricating a multilayer optical component includes obtaining a substrate having a multiplicity of polymer layers and cutting the substrate with a CO2 laser to yield a multilayer optical component having a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a blackened edge along a perimeter of the multilayer optical component. The multiplicity of polymer layers is sealed along the blackened edge. The resulting multilayer optical component includes a multiplicity of polymer layers and a blackened edge seal around the multiplicity of polymer layers. The blackened edge seal includes polymer melt from the multiplicity of polymer layers.

摘要: A new fluid dispenser container is described which comprises a transparent plastic container body (12) with an open end and a separate bottom part (13) joined by laser welding to the open end of the transparent plastic container body. The separate bottom part (13) is made from the same transparent plastic material as the plastic container body (12) and the separate bottom part is laser welded to the plastic container body by melting mating surface lines on the plastic container body (12) and on the separate bottom part (13), whereas the heat to melt is created by a stationary laser means while the plastic container body has been rotated by rotating means at least over a full rotation or by a circularly movable laser means in a full circular motion while the plastic container is stationary.

A metal-resin joint 10 of the present disclosure includes an anchor portion 34 provided on a metal bonding surface 32 of a metal member 30. The anchor portion 34 has a pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 protruding from the metal bonding surface 32 with a gap, a recessed groove 36 provided between the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35, and a plurality of partitions 37 protruding from a groove bottom of the recessed groove 36. The plurality of partitions 37 are provided to be inclined toward one side Y1 in a direction in which the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 extend as going toward a distal end side, and to be side by side in a direction Y in which the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 extend.

摘要: An apparatus for storing tissue and other biological materials includes a separable flexible container that includes a first layer coupled to a second layer via a set of seals to define a first storage volume and a second storage volume. Separate tissue specimens are containable within the first storage volume and the second storage volume. A first portion of the first layer or the second layer defines a first opening into the first storage volume. A second portion of the first layer or the second layer defines a second opening into the second storage volume. The opening into the first volume and the opening into the second volume are positioned near opposite edges of the flexible container. The separable flexible container also includes a hinge to allow the first opening and the second opening to move from location on opposing edges of the separable flexible container to adjacent locations.

The device includes a membrane having an upper surface and defining a vent hole extending downward from the upper surface. 摘要: A method of producing flexible polypropylene fabric bags with heat fused seams comprising providing fabric pieces, wherein each fabric piece has a coated side and an uncoated side; positioning fabric pieces so that a coated side of one fabric piece faces a coated side of another fabric piece; selecting an area of fabric to be joined for forming a seam or joint; applying heat to the area to be joined that is less than the melting point of the fabrics, for forming one or more seams or joints and wherein the heat fused seams or joints of a resulting polypropylene bag retains at least 85% of the fabric strength without using sewing machines.
