摘要: The present invention relates to a mould assembly (100) for manufacturing a wind turbine blade shell part, and to a method of manufacturing a wind turbine blade shell part using the mould assembly (100). The mould assembly (100) comprises a lowering device (85), which is adapted to carry and lower a root end insert onto the moulding surface of the mould, the lowering device (85) being attached to the mould and comprising a frame (86) for carrying the root end insert. Two synchronized hydraulic cylinders (91, 92) are used as driving means for lowering the frame, each hydraulic cylinder comprising a piston chamber and a rod chamber, wherein the piston chamber and the rod chamber of each cylinder are connected to each other via a respective valve assembly (110) comprising a fluid line (96) and a valve (97).

摘要: A method for manufacturing a composite-material casing for a gas turbine, includes producing by three-dimensional weaving a fiber texture in the form of a strip, winding of the fiber texture around several superimposed turns on a mandrel with a profile corresponding to that of the casing to be manufactured in order to obtain a fiber preform of a shape corresponding to that of the casing to be manufactured, and densifying the fiber preform by a matrix. During the winding of the last turn of the fiber texture on the mandrel, at least one stiffening element is interposed between the before-last turn and the last turn of the fiber texture. The stiffening element projects over the outer surface of the before-last turn of the fiber texture. The stiffening element has an axial section of omega-type shape.

摘要: A composite stiffener is fabricated using preforms of laminated, unidirectional composite tape. The stiffener includes a void that is reinforced by a filler wrapped with a structural adhesive. The surfaces of the preforms surrounding the void include a layer of composite fabric which is bonded to the filler by the adhesive, thereby increasing the toughness of stiffeners around the void and improving pull-off strength of the stiffener.

Each has an arcuate end face (11) which subtends an angle of 90° or less and has a plurality of connection holes (12). 摘要: A composite structure includes a first face sheet, a second face sheet, and a foam member located between the first face sheet and the second face sheet. The foam member has a molded contour, the mold contour being configured to provide tooling surface for at least one of the first face sheet and the second face sheet prior to curing of the composite structure. A method of making the foam member includes creating a mold tool having an interior surface which resembles the desired outer contour of the foam member. A mixture is poured into a pour opening in the mold tool. The mixture is allowed to polymerize into a foam as the foam expands and distributes within the mold tool. Vent openings in the mold tool are selectively tailored to control the density of the foam member. The foam member is cured in the mold tool.

摘要: A method of fabricating a formed structure with expandable polymeric shell microspheres. A first plurality of polymeric shell microspheres are heated from an unexpanded state to an expanded state to form a plurality of expanded microspheres. The plurality of expanded microspheres are mixed with an epoxy resin and a second plurality of unexpanded polymeric shell microspheres. The mixture is formed in a shape to create a preform. The preform is wrapped with fiber tape to create a wrapped preform. The wrapped preform is placed in a mold. The mold is heated and the second plurality of unexpanded microspheres expand from an unexpanded state to an expanded state. The mold is cooled and the formed structure is removed from the mold.
