    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a foam body good in a molded appearance, a cushioning property, and wear resistance, and excellent also in property balance. The foam body is a foam body of a hydrogenated block copolymer composition containing a hydrogenated block copolymer (I), an olefin-based resin (II), a thermoplastic resin (III), and a softener (IV), and includes a foam core layer and a non-foam skin layer, the foam core layer has a thickness of 300 μm or more, the foaming ratio is 1.2-fold or more, a content of a polymer block (a) principally containing a vinyl aromatic monomer unit in the hydrogenated block copolymer (I) is 10 to 40% by mass, the hydrogenated block copolymer (I) contains a hydrogenated copolymer block (b) containing a vinyl aromatic monomer unit and a conjugated diene monomer unit.

    Abstract: A method for producing a foam-molded product by using a plasticizing cylinder, includes: plasticizing and melting the thermoplastic resin to provide the molten resin in a plasticization zone of the plasticizing cylinder; introducing a pressurized fluid containing the physical foaming agent at a fixed pressure into a starvation zone of the plasticizing cylinder to retain the starvation zone at the fixed pressure; allowing the molten resin to be in the starved state in the starvation zone; bringing the molten resin in contact with the pressurized fluid containing the physical foaming agent at the fixed pressure, in the starvation zone in a state in which the starvation zone is retained at the fixed pressure; and molding the molten resin having been brought in contact with the pressurized fluid containing the physical foaming agent into the foam-molded product.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to multi-layered composite structures and to methods for the preparation thereof. The present multi-layered composite structures are light weight and capable of high load bearing making the present multi-layered composite structures especially suitable to be used as load bearing structures in, for example, automotive. Specifically, the present invention relates to methods comprising the steps of a) providing a mould for said multi-layered composite structure; b) layering said mould with two or more layers forming the outer surface of said multi-layered composite; c) filling said layered mould with a mixture comprised of non-expanded heat-expandable microspheres and closing said mould; and d) subjecting said closed mould to a temperature of 80° C. to 140° C. during 1 to 230 minutes thereby providing a relative pressure in said closed mould of 0.1 to 20 bar through expansion of said heat-expandable microspheres thereby forming a multi-layered composite structure in said mould with a foam enforced inner core and a multi-layered outer surface; and e) separating the multi-layered composite structure from said mould.
