Abstract: A door latch device includes: electric components; a machine mechanism; a circuit board; a case; a first cover forming a first housing space in which a motor and the machine mechanism are housed; a second cover forming a second housing space in which the circuit board is housed; and an external waterproof seal disposed between the case and the second cover and waterproofs the second housing space. Further, the case includes: a recessed part forming a part of the second housing space; a surrounding wall surrounding the recessed part; and a seal groove formed along an outer circumference of the surrounding wall and in which the external waterproof seal is disposed, the second housing space is formed by covering the recessed part by the second cover, and an entire circumference between the recessed part and the second cover is waterproofed by the external waterproof seal.

Abstract: This invention provides a station for opening trailer swing doors that uses a sled with a manipulator arm and associated end effector/tool to perform the unlocking of the trailer lock rod, swinging open of the door, holding the door in the opened position and applying an resilient/flexible/springy retention clip thereto. The sled moves into and out of a confronting position relative to the trailer rear/doors to allow that trailer to drive into or out of the station at the beginning or end of the task. Closing of doors can also be performed at the station in the reverse order of steps. The door retention clip can be adapted with features that allow it to perform the various opening and closing tasks herein. The station can include tracks for guiding the sled between a non-interfering and interfering position with respect to the path of travel of the truck/trailer.

Abstract: A system and method for operation of an autonomous vehicle (AV) yard truck is provided. A processor facilitates autonomous movement of the AV yard truck, and connection to and disconnection from trailers. A plurality of sensors are interconnected with the processor that sense terrain/objects and assist in automatically connecting/disconnecting trailers. A server, interconnected, wirelessly with the processor, that tracks movement of the truck around and determines locations for trailer connection and disconnection. A door station unlatches/opens rear doors of the trailer when adjacent thereto, securing them in an opened position via clamps, etc. The system computes a height of the trailer, and/or if landing gear of the trailer is on the ground and interoperates with the fifth wheel to change height, and whether docking is safe, allowing a user to take manual control, and optimum charge time(s). Reversing sensors/safety, automated chocking, and intermodal container organization are also provided.

The system includes a portable storage device comprising a processor, a storage module in electronic communication with the processor, and a wireless communication module. A wireless device is in electronic communication with the wireless communication module of the portable storage device. A transponder is installed in a vehicle configured to transmit a signal on a wire. The wireless device detects the signal on the wire from the transponder and stores the signal. The wireless device is transmits the signal on the wire in response to a command from the portable storage device.

Abstract: A method of controlling an operation standby time of a driver convenience system installed in a vehicle using a control unit including a memory and a processor includes: setting a plurality of learning positions; generating a plurality of test cases based on a day of a week and a time associated with each of the plurality of set learning positions; receiving a plurality of sensor signals and a plurality of switch signals associated with the driver convenience system; generating a learned neural network algorithm by using a neural network algorithm to learn an operation standby time of each of the plurality of generated test cases based on the plurality of sensor signals and the plurality of switch signals associated with the driver convenience system; and determining an operation standby time of the driver convenience system at a current learning position using the learned neural network algorithm.

Abstract: A method for controlling access of a user to a physical device which is provided with an access control unit that can block and release access to functions of the physical device includes the provision of a central control platform and a mobile access device. An identification check of the user is carried out, the user being identified by the mobile access device. Following a successful identification check, a wireless communication link is established between the mobile access device and the access control unit of the physical device. Identification information and unique access data are transmitted from the mobile access device to the access control unit. The access control unit ascertains the access rights of the user to the physical device using the received information and additional information from the central control platform.
