摘要: A driving assistance apparatus includes a controller programmed to perform a deceleration assistance process of assisting in decelerating a vehicle before the vehicle arrives at a deceleration object, and to control a display apparatus to display, in a first display area, first notification information for notifying an occupant of the vehicle of the deceleration object that is a target for the deceleration assistance process. When a first object and a second object that is different from the first object are both detected as the deceleration object and the second object is the target for the deceleration assistance process but the first object is not the target for the deceleration assistance process, the controller is programmed to control the display apparatus to display, in a second display area, second notification information for notifying the occupant of the first object, the second display area is different from the first display area.

摘要: Systems and apparatuses for generating customized driving assistance outputs are provided. The system may collect initial sensor data from a rotating mobile device. The system may analyze the initial sensor data to determine whether to collect additional sensor data. Based on analysis of the initial sensor data and the additional sensor data, the system may determine a customized driving assistance output. The system may determine one or more notification outputs and one or more instruction outputs for the driver based on the customized driving assistance output. The system may update an aggregate driving output based on whether or not the instruction output was completed, as determined from subsequent sensor data.

摘要: The technology relates to detecting and responding to emergency vehicles. This may include using a plurality of microphones to detect a siren noise corresponding to an emergency vehicle and to estimate a bearing of the emergency vehicle. This estimated bearing is compared to map information to identify a portion of roadway on which the emergency vehicle is traveling. In addition, information identifying a set of objects in the vehicle's environment as well as characteristics of those objects is received from a perception system is used to determine whether one of the set of objects corresponds to the emergency vehicle. How to respond to the emergency vehicle is determined based on the estimated bearing and identified road segments and the determination of whether one of the set of objects corresponds to the emergency vehicle. This determined response is then used to control the vehicle in an autonomous driving mode.

Additionally, the method may also include determining an estimate of a state of the upcoming traffic signal based on a relationship between the state of the one or more traffic signals other than the upcoming traffic signal and the state of the upcoming traffic signal.

The embodiment may include capturing audio input relating to traffic conditions or environmental conditions surrounding a user or a vehicle containing a user. The embodiment may also identifying undesirable noises from within the captured audio. The embodiment may further include generating mood-improving sounds for a user based on the identified noises. The embodiment may also playing the generated sounds for the user. The embodiment may further include alerting the user or a second user of relevant traffic conditions or relevant environmental conditions including conditions that correspond to the identified noises.

摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to a control system and method for control system for generating a speed limit signal for controlling a vehicle. The control system is configured to receive, from one or more imaging devices associated with the vehicle, image data indicative of an environment of the vehicle. The control system is configured to determine, in dependence on the image data, a speed limit indicated by a traffic sign and a location of the traffic sign with respect to a road feature in the environment. A relevance of the speed limit to the vehicle is determined in dependence on the determined location of the traffic sign and a determined location of the vehicle. A sign speed limit signal indicative of the speed limit is selectively generated in dependence on the determined relevance, and output to at least one vehicle control system. Traffic signs associated with side roads SR and thus not relevant to the vehicle may thus be effectively filtered.

The video display screen includes a left display region at a left portion, a right display region at a right portion, and a middle display region that spans between the left and right display regions. The video display screen (i) displays at the left display region video images derived from captured image data to display a scene occurring in a left side lane, (ii) displays at the right display region video images derived from captured image data to display a scene occurring in a right side lane and (iii) displays at the middle display region video images derived from captured image data to display a scene occurring rearward of the vehicle in the lane the equipped vehicle is travelling in.
