The sample-containing fluid may be moved from the port to the chamber. Partitions of the sample-containing fluid may be formed. A monolayer of the partitions in the chamber may be created. At least a portion of the monolayer may be imaged.

摘要: The present invention relates to a microfluidic device, a method for manufacturing a microfluidic device, and a method for provision of double emulsion droplets using a microfluidic device. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an assembly configured to supply pressure to the microfluidic device for provision of double emulsion droplets. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a kit comprising a plurality of microfluidic devices and a plurality of fluids configured for use with the microfluidic device for provision of double emulsion droplets. The microfluidic device comprises a transfer conduit comprising a first transfer conduit part having a first affinity for water; and a collection conduit comprising a first collection conduit part having a second affinity for water being different from the first affinity for water. A well section and a microfluidic section of the microfluidic device are fixedly connected to each other.

In certain embodiments, the invention provides methods for detecting a target analyte that involve forming a compartmentalized portion of fluid including a portion of a sample suspected of containing a target analyte and a sample identifier, a first binding agent having a target identifier, and a second binding agent specific to the target analyte under conditions that produce a complex of the first and second binding agents with the target analyte, separating the complexes, and detecting the complexes, thereby detecting the target analyte.

摘要: A first inlet flow can be directed along an axial direction in a hydrocyclonic flow cell. The first inlet flow can include first constituent molecules. At a same time, one or more second inlet flows can be directed along a circumferential direction of the hydrocyclonic flow cell. Each second inlet flow can include a buffer solution. The first inlet flow can be subjected to flow focusing by a surrounding primary vortex formed by the one or more second inlet flows, so as to generate a flow comprising a plurality of nanoparticles at an outlet of the hydrocyclonic flow cell. Each nanoparticle can be formed by a respective plurality of the first constituent molecules.

摘要: A microfluidic device contains a first layer having a plurality of channels, a second layer having a plurality of droplet makers, and a third layer having a plurality of through-holes connecting the plurality of channels to the plurality of droplet makers. The channels have a height of at least 4 times greater than the height of the droplet makers. The microfluidic device has at least 500 droplet makers in an area less than 10 cm2. The channels are formed by direct laser-micromachining and the droplet makers are formed by soft lithography molding.
