Abstract:
A rocker polishing apparatus for full-aperture deterministic polishing of a planar part includes a control system, a substrate, a lifting plate, a polishing module and a measuring module. The polishing module and the measuring module are arranged on the substrate. The lifting plate is arranged between the polishing module and the measuring module. The polishing module includes a rocker mechanism, a polishing pad surface dressing mechanism, a polishing pad surface profile measuring apparatus and a continuous polishing pad mechanism. The apparatus allows the material removal rate distribution of the planar part and the surface profile of the planar part be in the normalized mirror symmetry relationship by controlling the material removal rate distribution on the surface of the planar part, thereby implementing the deterministic polishing of the planar part and ensuring the efficient convergence of the surface profile of the planar part in the polishing process.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tool holder for a processing tool for processing optical workpieces with a holder head for receiving a processing tool and a holder body for fastening the tool holder to a tool spindle. According to the invention, it is provided that the holder head is annular with an annular rim and that at least two holding elements are arranged on the annular rim. The present invention relates further to a processing tool for processing optical workpieces having receiving openings in its base body.
Abstract:
A sealing portion on a lower end of a cover portion of a spindle cover has an upper side surface and a lower side surface that are inclined toward an outer circumferential surface of a spindle. A larger-diameter disk and the outer circumferential surface of the spindle define therebetween a second gap that is narrower than a first gap defined between the spindle and the cover portion. The second gap is effective to prevent a processing waste liquid from entering between the spindle and the spindle cover to prevent a solid waste contained in the processing waste liquid from sticking to the spindle. The spindle is thus prevented from becoming less liable to rotate smoothly due to solid waste deposits.
Abstract:
A grinding apparatus has a support frame and first and second carriages horizontally displaceable on the frame. Respective first and second workpiece spindles are each capable of holding and rotating a workpiece and are vertically displaceable on the first and second carriages. Respective first and second grinders on the frame carry respective first and second grinding wheels and are oriented to engage and machine workpieces held and rotated by the workpiece spindles. One of the grinders is movable horizontal or vertically on the frame.
Abstract:
A spindle unit for a machine tool for fine-machining workpieces having groove-shaped profiles, has a rotatably mounted spindle shaft (2). The spindle shaft is subdivided in the axial direction (AR), one behind the other, into a fastening portion (A) for fastening a tool (4) or a workpiece to be machined, a first bearing portion (B), a force transmission portion (C), and a second bearing portion (D). A drive unit (5) serves to drive the spindle shaft by way of force transmission onto the force transmission portion. A first and a second bearing point (13, 14) are designed to bear the spindle shaft in the first bearing portion, and a third bearing point (15) serves to mount the spindle shaft on the second bearing portion. The first and the second bearing points each have one or more hydrostatic bearings. The third bearing point has one or more hydrostatic and/or hydrodynamic bearings.
Abstract:
A power tool that includes a tool body housing, a drive system, a tool head and a connection system. The drive system is housed in the tool body housing. The tool head, which is configured to perform work on a work piece, includes a tool head housing and an input member that is driven by the drive system when the tool head is coupled to the tool body housing. The tool head can be engaged to the tool body housing in at least two pre-defined and distinct orientations. The connection system secures the tool head to the tool body housing in each of the at least two pre-defined and distinct orientations.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a grinding machine. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a centerless grinding machine comprising a damping device. The present disclosure also relates to a spindle for a grinding machine, and to a damping device for a spindle of a grinding machine, particularly for a grinding spindle or regulator spindle of a centerless grinding machine, wherein the damping device comprises at least one damping unit including an auxiliary mass section, an elastic section and a damping section, which are integrated in the spindle, and which jointly define a damped vibratory system for increasing the dynamic stiffness of the spindle.
Abstract:
In a thread grinder which grinds a thread grove on an inner surface of a workpiece while a rotation axis of a grinding wheel shaft is inclined with respect to an axis of a main shaft, a centering master which has a cylindrical outer surface is mounted to the main shaft. A measuring unit including two measuring instruments such that probes can contact two edges of a grinding wheel is mounted to the centering master. The origins of the measuring instruments are set by the probes contacting the cylindrical outer surface of the centering master. The measuring unit is moved in the axial direction of the centering master to bring the probes of the two measuring instruments into contact with the edges of the grinding wheel, respectively. The position of the grinding wheel shaft is adjusted such that measured values obtained by measuring instruments become same.
Abstract:
A machining apparatus for grinding, milling, polishing or the like of a dental workpiece. The machining apparatus contains a machining tool, a housing to which the machining tool is mounted rotatably about an axis of rotation relative to the housing, and a holding device to which the housing is fixed. The housing is mounted yieldingly movably to the holding device in dependence on forces exerted on the machining tool.
