The deburring tool includes a cylindrical housing; a spindle loosely fitted and supported to be tiltable with respect to an axis of the housing, the spindle having a rotatable attachment portion for detachably attaching a cutting tool at a distal end; a pressed member arranged to the spindle; a piston slidably disposed inside the housing, the piston configured to press the pressed member toward the distal end; an elastic member configured to urge the piston toward the distal end; a separate ring arranged between the piston and the elastic member; and a flow path for supplying a compressible fluid between the separate ring and the piston.

    摘要: A machining system includes a tool head having a yoke, a housing pivotally mounted to the yoke and a collet rotatable in the housing. The collet includes a tool head rocker driven by fluid to allow rocking of a tool relative to the collet in a plane normal to the housing pivotal axis in the yoke. The machining system also includes a source of constant liquid pressure and a source of constant gas pressure. The collet has pressure chambers in communication with the sources of constant pressures to bias the rockable collet assembly. The collet/tool axis is arranged to trail in the direction of relative motion when the contour of the work is moving away from the tool head and to lead when the contour of the work is approaching the tool head.

    摘要: Provided is a tap holder configured so that compression-side elastic characteristics and tension-side elastic characteristics are different from each other with utilization of an elastic member for absorbing synchronization error in rotation and feeding of a spindle of a machine tool. The tap holder includes a chuck 20 for holding a tap P, and a holder body 10 for holding the chuck 20 so that the chuck 20 is movable along a rotational axis X and rotatable in synchronism with the chuck 20. The tap holder further includes elastically deforming members 31, 32, 33 provided in a tension direction and a compression direction, respectively and deformable between the chuck 20 and the holder body 10 when a tension force or a compression force is applied to the tap P along the direction of the rotational axis X, and a deformation reducing mechanism 29 for the elastically deforming members 31, 32, 33 such that a deformation amount along the rotational axis X generated in at least one elastically deforming member 31, 32 of the elastically deforming members 31, 32, 33 disposed respectively in the tension direction and the compression direction is smaller than an amount of displacement of the chuck 20 along the rotational axis X.

Tool holders described herein define a central longitudinal axis and comprise a tool holder body having a connector portion and a holder portion. The connector portion is structured to engage a rotary machine and the holder portion is disposed opposite the connector portion and has an inner diameter surface comprising a plurality of axial grooves. Tool holders described herein further comprise a tool receiver structured to receive at least a portion of a cutting tool, the tool receiver having an outer diameter surface comprising a plurality of axial grooves. The tool receiver is mounted in the holder portion so as to align the axial grooves of the inner and outer diameter surfaces and define axial sleeves filled with dampening elements.

    摘要: An assembly includes a quick-release head, a tail piece and a flexible metal rod. The tail piece includes a shaft and a male coupler formed of a head, body, and flute. At least a portion of the male coupler head has a reduced outer dimension relative to an outer dimension of the body. When the male coupler is mounted in a second quick-release head or drill, a clearance space is provided between the reduced outer dimension portion and the second quick-release head or drill. During use, the assembly may undergo bending which results in significant forces applied in particular to the male coupler head. By providing the clearance space, these forces are predominantly shifted to the male coupler body, thereby reducing the likelihood that the male coupler head will shear from the remainder of the male coupler.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for fixing a tool (10, 22, 64), especially a shaft tool, in a clamping chuck (8, 18, 60), whereby the tool (10, 22, 64) is introduced into the clamping chuck (8, 18, 60) and fixed therein (8, 18, 60) upon reaching an axial nominal position. According to the invention, the tool (10, 22, 64) is brought against an abutment (42, 70) and the position of a characteristic element of the tool (10, 22, 64) is measured. The tool (10, 22, 64) is positioned in the axial nominal position by moving the abutment (42, 70) along a positioning section (Z1) calculated from the measurement.
