    Abstract: A deburring tool comprising a barrel having a blade slot integrally formed in its top end and a blade having an aperture disposed therethrough freely positioned within the blade slot. A blade axle aperture is disposed through the barrel and the blade slot. The blade axle is positioned within the blade axle aperture and through the blade aperture in order to secure the blade within the blade slot. A resilient positioning member aperture is integrally formed in the bottom end of the barrel for receiving the resilient positioning member. The resilient positioning member maintains contact with the blade and exerts an outward force against it. The blade is able to retract if forced but will immediately extend outward due to the resilient positioning member as soon as any opposing forces dissipate.

    Abstract: A control system for a tool holder which is attached to one of a pair of elements which are hinged together at one end and are normally urged toward each other at the other end. A control member such as a push rod extends through a hole in the other of the elements and actuates a lever in a chamber between the two elements. The end of the lever away from the control member is held between two relatively closely spaced fulcrum points on the two elements so that a given movement of the control member results in a substantially reduced corresponding arcuate movement being transmitted to the element carrying the tool holder. Preferably the lever has a pair of opposite blind passages having partially overlapping cross-sectional contours with a wafer of resilient plastic material interposed in the bottoms of these passages, and with bearing studs connected to the two elements being received in the passages and engaging on opposite sides of the wafer.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to a shave tool and a shave tool holder for cutting and forming machines, e.g., screw machines. The tool has a transverse cross section which is shaped, in part, the same as the piece to be machined so that the tool can be sharpened merely by grinding an end portion thereof. Also, all but a small portion of the tool can be utilized. The tool holder has adjustments for accurately positioning the tool with respect to a workpiece, with all of the adjustments being readily accessible. The tool holder has a contoured surface supporting the tool, with the mating surfaces of the holder and tool positioning the more critical areas of the tool precisely with respect to the workpiece.
