Abstract: A ballbar testing tune-up method for machine tool includes the steps of letting a machine tool system execute a ballbar test; obtaining a phase characteristic and a peak-value characteristic; creating a Lagrange interpolation polynomial and inputting a servo controller parameter, a phase characteristic and a peak-value characteristic of the machine tool system each time when executing the ballbar test, and obtaining a proposed servo parameter. This method is simple and easy without incurring additional equipment costs, but just using existing equipment to find the proposed servo parameter quickly and input it into a machine tool system, so as to improve the response issue of a servo system and reduce manufacturing contour error to enhance the working precision of the machine tool system.

Abstract: A handheld power tool 10 includes a detection signal acquisition unit 31, a determination unit 32, a display unit 24, a display control unit 34, a motor 14, and a drive control unit 13. The detection signal acquisition unit 31 acquires a detection signal that changes according to the detection strength of rebar W1 in concrete W. The determination unit 32 determines the presence or absence of the rebar W1 based on the acquisition result acquired by the detection signal acquisition unit 31. The display unit 24 displays the presence or absence of the rebar W1 by turning on different lights. The display control unit 34 controls so as to switch the color of the light displayed on the display unit 24 on the basis of the determination result by the determination unit 32. The motor 14 rotationally drives a tip tool 18a that works the concrete W. The drive control unit 13 controls the drive of the motor 14.

Abstract: A method for optimizing the execution of automated drilling systems controlled by a numerical control, NC, machine, wherein the NC machine performs the following steps: (i) identifying each drill executed by an automated drilling tool at first drilling event (t); storing a theoretical position of each executed drill at the event (t); (iii) calculating a learned position using a machine learning model and based on the stored theoretical position at the event (t); (iv) estimating an intermediate position by applying a tendency statistical function, and (v), if the difference between the intermediate position and the learned position is less than a pre-configured threshold, using the intermediate position for the drilling tool to position a next drill and execute it at a subsequent event (t+1).

The power tool may include a first position sensor, a second position sensor, a third position sensor, and a controller. The first, second, and third position sensors may each generate a signal indicative of a distance between the respective position sensor and a workpiece. The controller may determine one or more angles of the power tool with respect to the workpiece based on the first, second, and third signal and present an indication as to whether the one or more angles are within a predetermined range. The controller may further obtain a depth measurement based on the first signal, the second signal, and the third signal and generate, based on the obtained depth measurement, one or more control signals that control operation of the power tool.

Abstract: A motorised measurement arm apparatus for a machine tool includes a base for attachment to the machine tool and an arm member extending from the base for holding one or more sensors. The arm member is moveable relative to the base between a stowed position and an operative position, the operative position being defined by engagement of a mechanical stop arrangement. The apparatus also has a motor for moving the arm member relative to the base and a motor controller for energising the motor to move the arm member relative to the base. The motor controller is configured to energise the motor when the arm member is in the operative position to maintain engagement of the mechanical stop arrangement. An operative position having improved repeatability is thus obtained.
