摘要: Described are liners for bulk containers such as intermediate bulk containers (IBC) that are abuse-resistant and barrier-providing. The liners are recyclable. The liners have at least one sidewall that is multi-plied and the plies are multi-layered. The liners are preferably metal-free and nylon-free. An outer ply comprises at least one discrete polypropylene-based film layer. Addition of polypropylene α-olefin to sealant and/or polypropylene-based film layers also improves performance. Methods of making and using the liners are also provided.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a decorative surface laminate incorporates a sheet of cellulose-based inclusion paper. The inclusion paper includes a print surface having a porosity greater than 1.25% and a decorative ink finish digitally printed directly onto the print surface of the inclusion paper. Multiple sheets of backing paper are stacked with the inclusion paper, such that the backing paper resides adjacent the inclusion paper on a side opposite the print surface. The inclusion paper and backing paper are impregnated with a thermosetting resin. Using heat and pressure, the impregnated sheets of inclusion paper and backing paper are combined to form a flexible high-density laminate panel.

摘要: The invention relates to a polyethylene sealant film comprising an outer layer O, a core layer C and an inner layer I, wherein the core layer C is made of a core layer composition comprising a component AC, which is a recycled low density ethylene polymer in an amount of at least 50 wt. %, based on the total weight of the core layer composition, and a slip agent; and the inner layer I is made of an inner layer composition comprising a component AI, which is a linear low density ethylene polymer having a density of from 910 to 925 kg/m3 and an MFR2 of from 0.5 to 2.0 g/10 min. determined according to ISO 1133. The invention further relates to a laminated polyethylene film and article comprising this polyethylene sealant film. The invention further relates to the use of the laminated polyethylene film and/or the polyethylene sealant film for packaging of an article.

摘要: A polyester composition comprising, based on the total weight of the polyester composition, a first polyester and a second polyester, wherein a weight ratio of the first polyester to the second polyester is 80:20 to 20:80, preferably 60:40 to 40:60; 5 to 60 weight percent (wt %), preferably 5 to 50 wt % of a reinforcing filler; and 5 to 60 wt %, preferably 10 to 50 wt %, more preferably 20 to 50 wt % of an inorganic filler having a specific gravity of greater than 3 grams per cubic centimeter, as determined in accordance with ASTM D792, wherein a molded article comprising the polyester composition has a sound transmission loss of greater than 30 dB, preferably 35 to 50 dB, more preferably 36 to 45 dB, as determined at 1,250 Hz according to ASTM E1050 using a molded disc with a diameter of 100 mm and a thickness of 3.2 mm.

摘要: Vulcanized tube having at least one foamed layer of elastomer material with a cellular structure with an average cell size in a range between 5 and 200 microns and the number of cells per unit of volume in a range between 1.9×105 and 1.4×109 cells/cm3. To form the tube, a forming device is inserted into an unvulcanized tube obtained in a prior initial stage of extrusion. At least one foaming agent is added to the elastomer material of the foamed layer in the initial stage of extrusion, such that the tube is vulcanized and the foamed layer is also simultaneously foamed. The vulcanizing process is carried out under pressure. Finally, in a stage of removal, the already vulcanized and foamed tube is removed from the forming device.

摘要: A multilayer film is provided that includes a) a barrier layer including a thermoplastic polyester elastomer or a polyamide copolymer; b) an intermediate layer provided on the barrier layer and including a maleic anhydride (MAH)-grafted polyolefin and an α-olefin copolymer; and c) an adhesive layer provided on the intermediate layer and including a thermoplastic polyester elastomer or a polyamide copolymer. The multilayer film enables production of gas-tight multilayer laminates which exhibit an excellent peel resistance combined with a low weight and/or thickness. Further, a multilayer laminate and an inflatable airbag that include a fabric layer adhered to the multilayer film, as well as methods of manufacturing are described.

摘要: The invention concerns a ballistic-resistant molded article having an areal density of at least 7.0 and at most 12.0 kg/m2, comprising a consolidated stack of fibrous monolayers, each fibrous monolayer containing unidirectionally aligned high tenacity polyethylene filaments, the polyethylene filaments having a tenacity of at least 3.5 N/tex, wherein the molded article comprises between 5.0 and 20 wt % of a binder, wherein the molded article comprises at least 330 of said fibrous monolayers. The invention also relates to a ballistic-resistant sheet suitable to manufacture the molded article, wherein said ballistic-resistant sheet has an areal density of between 6 and 30 g/m2 per polyethylene filament monolayer present in the ballistic-resistant sheet. The invention further relates to a ballistic-resistant molded article whit improved performance when shot under an angle of 30 degree.
