摘要: The invention relates to a process for producing a ballistic-resistant curved molded article said process comprising forming a stack of a plurality of composite sheets, pressing the stack comprising the composite sheets at a temperature of between 80° C. to 150° C. and a pressure of between 10 and 400 bar for at least 5 minutes to obtain a curved molded article, cooling the compacted stack to a temperature below 80° C. while maintaining the pressure above 10 bar, releasing the pressure from the cooled curved molded article; wherein the composite sheets comprise unidirectionally aligned high tenacity polyethylene fibers and a matrix comprising a polyethylene resin being a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene having a density of between 870 to 980 kg/m3 when measured according to ISO1183 and a melt flow index of between 0.5 and 50 g/10 min when measured according to ASTM 1238B-13 at a temperature of 190° C. and a weight of 21.6 kg.

摘要: Composite sheets include at least two adjacent fibrous monolayers of unidirectionally aligned high tenacity polyethylene fibers, whereby the direction of orientation between the polyethylene fibers of said two fibrous layers differs by at least 80° and up to 90°, the fibers having a tenacity of at least 1.5 N/tex, the fibers being in a matrix comprising a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene and wherein the homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene has a density as measured according to ISO1183 of between 870 to 980 kg/m3. The composite sheets have an areal density of between 50 and 500 g/m2, wherein the composite sheets have an areal density normalized in-plane shear force measured at 25° C. evaluated according to a bias extension test method variant of ASTM D3518 of at least 0.40 N·m2·g−1 and lower than 5.0 N·m2·g−1 at 10 mm clamp displacement and an areal density normalized in-plane shear force measured at 110° C. and clamp displacement of 10 mm of at least 0.01 N·m2·g−1 and lower than 0.20 N·m2·g−1.

摘要: The invention relates to hybrid fabric comprising: a high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) fiber having a tensile modulus of at least 110 GPa, preferably higher than 135 GPa, as measured according to ASTM D885M-2014; and a non-polymeric fiber, wherein the cross-sectional area of the HPPE fiber is equal to or smaller than the cross-sectional area of the non-polymeric fiber, the cross-sectional area being defined as the linear density of the fiber divided by volumetric density of the fiber. 摘要: The invention concerns a ballistic-resistant molded article having an areal density of at least 7.0 and at most 12.0 kg/m2, comprising a consolidated stack of fibrous monolayers, each fibrous monolayer containing unidirectionally aligned high tenacity polyethylene filaments, the polyethylene filaments having a tenacity of at least 3.5 N/tex, wherein the molded article comprises between 5.0 and 20 wt % of a binder, wherein the molded article comprises at least 330 of said fibrous monolayers. The invention also relates to a ballistic-resistant sheet suitable to manufacture the molded article, wherein said ballistic-resistant sheet has an areal density of between 6 and 30 g/m2 per polyethylene filament monolayer present in the ballistic-resistant sheet. The invention further relates to a ballistic-resistant molded article whit improved performance when shot under an angle of 30 degree.
