Abstract:
Precursors for use in depositing tellurium-containing films on substrates such as wafers or other microelectronic device substrates, as well as associated processes of making and using such precursors, and source packages of such precursors. The precursors are useful for deposition of Ge2Sb2Te5 chalcogenide thin films in the manufacture of nonvolatile Phase Change Memory (PCM), by deposition techniques such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD).
Abstract:
Process for preparing isononylamines starting out from 2-ethylhexanol, characterized in that (a) 2-ethylhexanol is dehydrated in the presence of a catalyst to form octene; (b) the octene obtained in step a) is reacted with carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the presence of a transition metal compound of group VIII of the Periodic Table of the Elements to form isononanal; and (c) the isononanal obtained in step b) is converted into isononylamines.
Abstract:
A method for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and noncardiovascular inflammatory diseases that are mediated by VCAM-1 is provided that includes the removal, decrease in the concentration of, or prevention of the formation of oxidized polyunsaturated fatty acids, or interferes with a complex formed between a polyunsaturated fatty acid or an oxidized polyunsaturated fatty acid and a protein or peptide that mediates the expression of VCAM-1. A method is also provided for suppressing the expression of a redox-sensitive gene or activating a gene that is suppressed through a redox-sensitive pathway, that includes administering an effective amount of a substance that prevents the oxidation of the oxidized signal, and typically, the oxidation of a polyunsaturated fatty acid, or interferes with a complex formed between the oxidized signal and a protein or peptide that mediates the expression of the redox gene.

Abstract:
The present invention provides novel basic metallic salts of dithiocarbamic acid, in which the content of the basic ingredient (=a.times.3.times.100) is 30-100 mol %, represented by general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.4, which may be the same or different, are each a lipophilic group having 1-30 carbon atoms, M is a metal atom selected from the group consisting of zinc, copper, nickel, iron, cadmium, silver, lead, antimony, tin, and bismuth, and "a" is a coefficient of 1/3 to 1/10, said basic metallic salts of dithiocarbamic acid containing no phosphorus atoms and imparting low-wear properties when used as an additive for lubricating oils. The present invention also provides lubricating oil compositions containing in a lubricating base oil said basic metal salt of dithiocarbamic acid, which compositions are excellent in wear-resistant properties and frictional characteristics and suitable as a lubricating oil for automotive internal combustion engines.
Abstract:
A powdery molybdenum oxysulfide dithiocarbamate composition which comprises a compound represented by the following general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independent hydrocarbyl groups and may be the same or different groups, and the total number of carbon atoms contained in R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 is 4 to 36; and wherein X is sulfur or oxygen and the composition of the total of all Xs is given as S.sub.m O.sub.n in which n and m satisfy the ranges of 1.7.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.3.5 and 0.5.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.2.3, respectively, and in which the constituent particles have diameters of not larger than 50 .mu.m. The present invention also relates to a process for production of the composition and a grease composition containing the same.
Abstract:
Disclosed are products derived from the reaction of amine or metal salts of N,N-diorganodithiocarbamic acids with thionyl chloride, SOCl.sub.2. These compositions are useful as antioxidants and antiwear additives in lubricating oil compositions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for synthesizing alkylene bisdithiocarbamates or the ammonia adducts thereof as well as mixtures that can be synthesized thereby. The starting materials are carbon disulfide, ammonia, a diamine and a metal oxide, which may be manganese(II) oxide, or the hydrate or hydroxide thereof. The metal oxide, its hydrate or hydroxide thereof is allowed to react either with a mixture syntheiszed from an alkylenediamine, carbon disulfide and ammonia in water, or with an aqueous solution of the ammonium alkylene bisdithiocarbamate. The concentration of the individual starting materials both relative to each other and to water is of prime importances as to which compounds in particular are ultimately obtained.
