摘要: A lubricating oil composition for a gas engine containing: a base oil (A), at least one overbased calcium detergent (B) selected from the group consisting of calcium salicylate (B1) and calcium phenate (B2), alkenyl succinimide (C), and a hindered amine-based antioxidant (D), where the content (X) of calcium atoms derived from the component (B) is less than 0.090% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition; the content (Y) of calcium carbonate contained in the component (B) is 0.060% by mass or more based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition; the content of boron atoms derived from the component (C) is less than 0.020% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, and the content of the component (D) is more than 0.20% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.

摘要: A metalworking fluid includes a pH buffer system having one or more organic acids and one or more organic amines. The organic acids, which include aromatic carboxylic acids and C10 or higher aliphatic carboxylic acids, may replace boric acid, such that boric acid may be excluded from the metalworking fluid. The organic acids may include at least one of phthalic acid, isophthalic acid, and terephthalic acid. The one or more organic amines include aliphatic and aromatic amines having an amine value of at least 50 mg KOH/g. A method of using the metalworking fluid includes shaping a metal by contacting the metal surface with a tool while cooling and lubricating at least one of the metal surface or tool with the metalworking fluid.

摘要: The invention provides a composition comprising a mixture of pentadecanols wherein at least about 60 wt % of the mixture is linear pentadecanol and at least about 10 wt % of the mixture is branched pentadecanols wherein the branched pentadecanols have branching on the second carbon atom. The mixture of pentadecanols may be converted to one or more derivatives, and these derivatives may be used in laundry detergents, cleaning products or as an agricultural adjuvant, an emulsifying agent, a lubricant additive, a pour point depressant, or a personal care ingredient.

摘要: The present invention provides metal shaping compositions and processes for using same for shaping metal substrates. Specifically, the metal shaping composition discussed herein are environmentally-friendly, water-containing composition which provide excellent lubricity under metal shaping process conditions while also providing excellent rust protection. The metal shaping compositions discussed herein contain (i) a film-forming lubricant capable of being solubilized into water in dispersible or emulsifiable form and which softens at a temperature of about 80 to about 200° C.; (ii) a film forming polymeric binder capable of being solubilized into water in dispersible or emulsifiable form; (iii) a solid lubricant capable of being solubilized into water in dispersible or emulsifiable form; and (iv) a corrosion inhibitor.
