摘要: Disclosed are solvency enhancer compositions, for example, as additives to lubricating oils and as formulated in lubricating oil compositions and associated methods of preparation and use thereof. The compositions and methods can dissolve at least one of oxidation products and other organic polar compounds, due to lubricant degradation, formed and suspended in oil compositions including adding an effective amount of a solvency enhancer to the oils, wherein the solvency enhancer includes Guerbet alcohols. Further described are methods for dissolving organic deposits in an oil system including adding an effective amount of a solvency enhancer to the oil system, wherein the solvency enhancer includes Guerbet alcohols. Also provided are methods for preventing sludge and varnish formation in in-service oils including adding an effective amount of a solvency enhancer to the oils, wherein the solvency enhancer includes Guerbet alcohols.

摘要: A dry lubricant composition in powder form is provided based on a mixture of alkali metal salts of fatty acids and fatty acid glycerides which is useful in the production of aluminium cans in a deep drawing process, wherein the formed aluminium cans are immediately further processed to yield thin inorganic and/or organic protective coatings. The invention also encompasses the use of the lubricating powder for cold forming of aluminium as well as a process for the deep drawing of aluminium cans.

摘要: This disclosure relates to a method for minimizing the electrical drainage of charged electrical powertrain components, a method for controlling electrical conductivity over a lifetime of a lubricating oil in an electric vehicle powertrain lubricated with the lubricating oil, and a method for obtaining a desired electrical conductivity-to-dielectric constant ratio of a lubricating oil for an electric vehicle powertrain and powertrain components. The methods relate to controlling at least one of oxidation, deposit formation and corrosion over the service lifetime of the oil. The lubricating oil has a composition including a lubricating base oil as a major component, an additive package, as a minor component, and an effective amount of one or more conductivity agents, as a minor component. The lubricating oil has an electrical conductivity from 10 pS/m to 20,000 pS/m, a dielectric constant of 1.6 to 3.6, with a ratio of electrical conductivity-to-dielectric constant from 5 to 10,000.

Shear stability of the oil can be improved if the total concentration of the heavy fraction of the shearable stable structure is controlled at a low concentration.

摘要: A lubricating oil composition for a continuously variable transmission contains at a specific content: (A) a mineral oil or PAO having a sulfur content of 0.03 mass % or less and a kinematic viscosity at 100 degrees C. from 1.5 mm2/s to 3 mm2/s; (B) a mineral oil or PAO having a sulfur content of 0.03 mass % or less and a kinematic viscosity at 100 degrees C. from 5.5 mm2/s to 8 mm2/s; (C) PAO having a kinematic viscosity at 100 degrees C. from 30 mm2/s to 400 mm2/s; and (D) a polymethacrylate having a mass average molecular weight of 10000 to 40000, in which the total content of the components (C) and (D) is 19 mass % or more and the lubricating oil composition has a kinematic viscosity at 100 degrees C. from 5.5 mm2/s to 6.5 mm2/s and a kinematic viscosity at −20 degrees C. of 680 mm2/s or less.
