Abstract:
In one example, a structure is provided that includes a plastic body having a unitary, single-piece construction. The plastic body further includes a substantially hollow interior, and a parting line that extends around a portion of the perimeter of the structure. The structure also includes a solid compression molded element that is integral with the plastic body. The solid compression molded element is configured and arranged such that the parting line is not connected to the solid compression molded element.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a furniture panel includes placing the frame on a top of a mold, the frame at an outer edge being formed with a protrusion; shaping the plastic blank sheet by vacuum forming such that the plastic blank sheet wraps the frame and the mold; demolding and trimming, so that the trimmed plastic blank sheet wraps the protrusion of the frame and the frame is embedded in the trimmed plastic blank sheet. The method is efficient, implementing the process of wrapping a frame within a plastic panel in a simple fashion, and the panel formed smooth in profile. The panel is resistant to deformation and has a prolonged service life.
Abstract:
The invention involves a system and method for constructing lawn furniture. The system includes box type beam members as well as a large box structure supported above a ground surface. The box structure provides rigidity and stability to the furniture while also functioning as storage space. The components are formed to ship in a dissembled compact state and snap together with minimal use of fasteners and tools.

Abstract:
The invention relates to an edge strip, especially for panels of pieces of furniture, comprising a hot-melt layer which consists of at least one easy-flow polyolefin and the rheological behavior of which can be controlled by means of the melt flow rates of the polyolefins used in hot-melt layer. The invention further relates to a method for producing an edge strip of said type as well as to a panel for pieces of furniture that is connected to an edge strip of said type.
Abstract:
The invention describes a device and method for making corrugated products. The device can be used with any substrate and includes, at least, first and second drive rollers for driving a middle substrate and a single wall corrugated product. In other embodiments the invention includes upper drive rollers, lower drive rollers and middle drive rollers for driving an upper substrate, a lower substrate and a middle substrate. The middle substrate is driven between the upper and lower substrates at a higher velocity to form flutes that are anchored between the upper an lower substrates thereby forming a corrugated product. The invention also provides for customized corrugated products having multiple fluted substrates in various desirable arrangements. Examples of such products include mattresses, partition panels, other furniture, construction products such as tubes or pipes previously made from metals or concrete.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an edge trim for pieces of furniture, comprising a meltable layer. In order to improve a generic edge trim such that the same is more versatile and can especially be mounted on a wider selection of surfaces, the molecular structure of the meltable layer contains both polar and non-polar parts.
