Abstract: A method for reconstituting a reagent within a reagent pack including one or more wells and at least one of the wells containing a lyophilized reagent comprises the steps of receiving reagent packs into a reagent pack input carousel, transferring one reagent pack with a rotary distributor from the input carousel to a reagent pack storage carousel, retrieving the reagent pack from the storage carousel with the rotary distributor and placing the reagent pack into a reagent pack loading station, and dispensing a reconstitution reagent with an automated pipettor into the well containing the lyophilized reagent to form a reconstituted reagent.

Abstract: A small scale reactor includes a seal gate for closing an interior of a test cell in the reactor. The seal gate protects elastomeric seals in an injection port from the effluent from the test cell. A stirrer of the small scale reactor has a clip on magnet that allows for easy replacement. A drive system of the small scale reactor does not have to be disconnected when the test cells are opened to permit access for placing or retrieving the vials in the reactor.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a BNP aptamer fluorescence detection device based on a smart phone and a sensing method thereof, including a detection control mechanism, a fluorescence rapid detection mechanism and an aptamer fluorescence sensor. The aptamer fluorescence sensor uses oligonucleotides marked by carboxy fluorescein as an aptamer to capture the BNP specificity. The detection control mechanism receives a fluorescence signal to display test results. The fluorescence rapid detection mechanism uses the OTG function as a plug-in power supply. The present invention fills the gap of portable fluorescence detection for digital BNP.

Abstract: The present invention provides novel microfluidic devices and methods that are useful for performing high-throughput screening assays and combinatorial chemistry. The invention provides for aqueous based emulsions containing uniquely labeled cells, enzymes, nucleic acids, etc., wherein the emulsions further comprise primers, labels, probes, and other reactants. Abstract: Biochemical flow cells having sealed inlets and outlets are provided for performing high-volume assays on macromolecules. In one example embodiment, a flow cell with detachable inlet and outlet connectors comprises an inlet manifold, a coverslip, and a substrate disposed below the coverslip to form a reaction chamber, where the substrate is disposed to partially cover the inlet manifold such that a slit is formed along an entire edge of the substrate where fluids can flow from the inlet manifold through the slit, around substantially the entire edge of the substrate, and into the reaction chamber at equalized pressure and without bubbles. In another embodiment, a flow cell comprises an outlet manifold, two or more flow regions each connected to its own loading port via its own flow distribution funnel, each loading port connected to the outlet manifold, and plugs in a wall of the outlet manifold opposite each loading port, such that when a plug is absent from the wall of the outlet manifold, a loading tip may be inserted in its place, passing through the outlet manifold and connecting directly to a loading port.
