摘要: Embodiments described herein generally relate to apparatuses, cartridges, and pumps for peristaltic pumping of fluids and associated methods, systems, and devices. The pumping of fluids is, in certain cases, an important aspect of a variety of applications, such as bioanalytical applications (e.g., biological sample analysis, sequencing, identification). The inventive features described herein may, in some embodiments, provide an ability to pump fluids in ways that combine certain advantages of robotic fluid handling systems (e.g., automation, programmability, configurability, flexibility) with certain advantages of microfluidics (e.g., small fluid volumes with high fluid resolution, precision, monolithic consumables, limiting of the wetting of components to consumables).

摘要: An automatic analysis device according to the present embodiment includes a processor. The processor calculates the liquid level height in a reaction tube, based on a scheduled dispensing amount of liquid to be dispensed into the reaction tube. The processor detects whether there is an abnormality in a dispensing operation in which liquid is dispensed into the reaction tube, based on a measured liquid level height in the reaction tube and a calculated liquid level height in the reaction tube.

摘要: A buffer management system includes at least one workstation configured to support a supply of concentrated buffer solution and an inline dilution skid having a manifold and at least one workstation to support delivery of diluted (surge) buffers from the inline dilution skid. The latter workstation also serves to supply ready-made (diluted) buffers to a bioprocessing unit. The manifold is in fluid communication with the supply of concentrated buffer solution and is adapted to be placed in fluid communication with a source of water for injection (WFI). The inline dilution skid is configured to variably mix the supply of concentrated buffer solution and the source of WFI to obtain a range of diluted buffer solutions. Processes for automatically identifying the arrangement of buffer solutions in a bioprocessing application use signals from various sensors to identify the fluid connections between components of the system.

摘要: A pressure sensor module and a dispensing apparatus improving accuracy of pressure measurement are provided. A pressure sensor module includes: a flow channel substrate in which a flow channel and a branch channel are formed; and a distortion detection unit configured to detect a pressure. The branch channel is branched from the flow channel and is connected to the distortion detection unit at one end of the branch channel. The distortion detection unit is disposed at least partially via a bond layer to block the one end of the branch channel. A protrusion is provided to surround the one end of the branch channel.

摘要: Nucleic acid extraction and purification cartridges and systems are provided. The cartridges can be removable and are configured to allow for the concentration of particles of interest, followed by nucleic acid extraction and purification. The cartridges directly contact samples and provide a partial barrier between samples and the reusable components of the system, thereby reducing the probability of clogging the system's microfluidics and fouling the lines, valves, and pumps of the system. Furthermore, these cartridges are designed to purity nucleic acids by removing the majority of inhibitors for down-stream genetic testing. Embodiments may comprise one, two, or three or more channels. In an exemplary embodiment the nucleic acid extraction and purification cartridge comprises a first channel containing a filter disposed therein; and a second channel containing a nucleic acid binding matrix disposed therein, wherein a first end of the cartridge is configured to directly contact a sample comprising a biological material, and wherein a second end of the cartridge Is configured to connect in a reversible fashion to a flow-through automated Instrument that controls fluid flow through the cartridge.

摘要: There is provided a sample ejection system for ejecting a sample from a flow of fluid, the system comprises: a fluid flow channel for receiving, in use, the flow of fluid; a fluid inlet channel connected to the flow channel and arranged to receive, in use, pressurised fluid; a fluid outlet channel connected to the flow channel at a location downstream in the flow direction of the flow of fluid and comprises an outlet. The system is arranged such that, in use, pressurised fluid is applied to the fluid flow channel via the fluid inlet channel to drive fluid from the region of the fluid flow channel between the fluid inlet and outlet channels through the fluid outlet channel and out of the outlet.
