Abstract: A data transmitter is configured for transmitting multiple payload data streams in a frame format, wherein each frame comprises multiple rows, and each row comprises multiple bit slots. Abstract: An improved technique for encoding and decoding of data for group common control channels is provided herein. Generally, the embodiments disclosed herein involve masking the information bits of the group common PDCCH (or group common control channel information) with the common RNTI, without using parity bits, which reduces the power requirements of the transmitter and receiver. In a first embodiment, the information block and the common RNTI can each be encoded using separate encoders, and then the encoded information block can be masked with the encoded common RNTI, and the resulting code symbol can be transmitted to the group of mobile devices. In a second embodiment, an information block can be appended with bits to match a size of the common RNTI, and then be masked by the common RNTI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may transmit feedback, such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD) feedback for groups of code blocks rather than for an entire transport block or individual code blocks. The wireless device may transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) or negative-acknowledgement (NACK) to provide feedback for each code block group of a set of code block groups. An ACK may indicate that code blocks in a code block group were successfully decoded, and a NACK may indicate that at least one code block in a code block group was not successfully decoded. Wireless devices may support several techniques for grouping code blocks for feedback reporting to allow for efficient retransmissions and limited overhead. Different grouping schemes may be employed depending on system constraints, device capability, link conditions, or the like.

Abstract: In a radio using a plurality of channels defined in a radio frequency (RF) spectrum, a rate of false packet detections may be calculated for each of the plurality of channels using a plurality of respective correlation thresholds. The rate of false packet detections for each channel may be compared to a range of acceptable rates of false packet detections. The same or different ranges of acceptable rates of false packet detections may be used for each channel or each channel plan. Different correlation thresholds may be adjusted based at least in part on the comparisons. For example, if a rate of false packet detections exceeds a range of acceptable rates of false packet detections, the correlation threshold may be raised, or the reverse. A packet may be detected on different channels based on different adjusted correlation thresholds.

Abstract: Decoding of a first message is disclosed, wherein first and second messages are encoded by a code (represented by a state machine) to produce first and second code words, which are received over a communication channel. A plurality of differences (each corresponding to a hypothesized value of a part of the first message) between the first and second messages are hypothesized. An initial code word segment is selected having, as associated previous states, a plurality of initial states (each associated with a hypothesized difference and uniquely defined by the hypothesized value of the part of the first message). The first message is decoded by (for each code word segment, starting with the initial code word segment): combining the code word segment of the first code word with a transformed (based on the hypothesized difference of the initial state associated with the previous state of the state transition corresponding to a first message segment content) code word segment of the second code word to produce a combined code word segment, determining a decision metric associated with a probability that the combined code word segment corresponds to the first message segment content, and selecting (for the first message) the first message segment content or a second message segment content based on the decision metric. If the first message segment content is selected, the subsequent state of the state transition corresponding to the first message segment content is associated with the initial state associated with the previous state of the state transition.

A demodulator (23) of this disclosure, included in a reception device (2) of this disclosure, decodes digital data encoded by the encoder (11-1).
