The system information is received in a synchronization signal (SS) block of an SS burst set comprising at least one SS block. The system information is multiplexed with information providing a time index indicating which SS block of the SS burst set that is being received. The method comprises receiving the information providing the time index, and receiving the system information, which comprises descrambling the system information using a scrambling sequence generated based on the information providing the time index. The method also comprises determining an accuracy of the information providing the time index, based on an error-detection code related to the received system information. 摘要: A method and apparatus for feeding back channel information from a first device to a second device in a wireless communication system are provided. The first device estimates channel parameters based on a signal received from the second device, and determines a set of angle parameters indicative of an angle representation of a V matrix, which is the right singular matrix of a singular value decomposition of an estimated channel matrix H. The angle parameters can be derived according to a Givens rotation method or Cosine-Sine decomposition. The first device applies a Trellis Coded Quantization (TCQ) scheme to map the angle parameters to a trellis. A Viterbi algorithm applied to the trellis generates quantized angle parameters which are transmitted to the second device.

Then, when all of a predetermined number of decoding results by the RS decoding unit are succeeded or failed, the decode stop determination unit determines to stop subsequent decoding on the likelihood as a processing target. The present technology may be applied to, for example, a receiving device that receives digital terrestrial broadcasting compatible with the ISDB-T standard, or the like.

Among the branches of the trellis diagram, certain represent conditional transitions that may be made only when bit stuffing is present. During the generation of a path hypothesis, bit stuffing is detected and the branches taken are those associated with the detected bit stuffing. The most likely path hypothesis relative to the observation sequence is finally retained.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for efficient demapping of constellations are described. In an embodiment, these methods may be implemented within a digital communications receiver, such as a Digital Terrestrial Television receiver. The method reduces the number of distance metric calculations which are required to calculate soft information in the demapper by locating the closest constellation point to the received symbol. This closest constellation point is identified based on a comparison of distance metrics which are calculated parallel to either the I- or Q-axis. The number of distance metric calculations may be reduced still further by identifying a local minimum constellation point for each bit in the received symbol and these constellation points are identified using a similar method to the closest constellation point. Where the system uses rotated constellations, the received symbol may be unrotated before any constellation points are identified.
