摘要: Mechanisms for efficient transmission of large amount of download data from a base station to a user equipment in a multi-carrier that minimizes power consumption on the user equipment are described. When multiple component carriers are to be used to transmit the download data, the base station informs the user equipment. The base station transmits on the anchor carriers without wait after informing the user equipment and transmits on the non-anchor carriers after waiting a predetermined delay. The predetermined delay provides time to allow the user equipment to activate the receiving resources and be ready to receive the download data over the non-anchor carriers. In this manner, the user equipment can be in a power conservation mode and activate the receiver resources only when needed.

The method comprises obtaining an image comprising image data and selecting an area of the image wherein the area comprises image data representing the object to be targeted. The method further comprises steering a transmission beam of an antenna array in a direction corresponding to the selected area in response to the selection and transmitting a signal using the steered transmission beam of the antenna array. Corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also disclosed.

摘要: A user equipment receives a signal indicating a time schedule for intermittent transmission of information from a base station managing a cell. The intermittent transmission of information enables the UE to perform mobility measurements when the cell is in a discontinuous transmission (DTX) mode and the UE is an active terminal not served by the cell. The UE performs, based on the intermittent transmission of information, a mobility measurement when the cell is in the DTX mode and reports the mobility measurement to the base station.

摘要: There is provided mechanisms for initial access to a radio access network. The method is performed by a wireless device. The wireless device is configured for accessing the radio access network using at least a first cellular RAT and a second cellular RAT. The method comprises obtaining system information using a first carrier frequency and the first RAT. The system information comprises inter-frequency cell information of the second RAT. The method comprises synchronizing with the second RAT using a second carrier frequency based on the obtained system information in order to establish initial access to the radio access network. The second carrier frequency is higher than the first carrier frequency.

摘要: A device and method therein for coordinating operation of a radar unit and a wireless communication unit comprised in the device are disclosed. The radar unit obtains information about interference situation on the first frequency range. If the interference situation fulfills a condition, the radar unit transmits at least one radar pulse based on the obtained interference situation and receives at least one radar pulse response associated to reflections of the at least one transmitted radar pulse. The radar unit then determines at least one measurement result based on the transmitted and received radar pulse.

摘要: A network node, such as a base station, identifies radio resources within an overall bandwidth using a first resource referencing scheme, while a wireless communication device identifies radio resources within an allocated portion of the overall bandwidth using a second resource referencing scheme. Advantageously, the device correctly identifies given radio resources pointed to by a resource identifier expressed according to the first resource referencing scheme, by translating the resource identifier into the second resource referencing scheme according to mapping information that relates the two schemes. Correspondingly, the network node enables the wireless communication device to perform such translations by providing the mapping information either implicitly or explicitly.

摘要: A method and network node for enabling mobility measurements performed by wireless devices. A set of resource blocks are distributed across an available frequency bandwidth, and a pre-defined maximum average transmit power per resource block is available for transmission by the network node. The network node transmits (5:3A) a subset of resource blocks using a first transmit power per resource block which is higher than the pre-defined maximum average transmit power per resource block. The network node also transmits (5:3B) other resource blocks in the set not included in the subset using a second transmit power per resource block which is lower than the pre-defined maximum average transmit power per resource block so that the total transmit power used for transmitting the set of resource blocks does not exceed a total available maximum transmit power.

摘要: A network node and a wireless device for operation in a wireless communication network, wherein it is determined that a second scheduling bandwidth is needed, based on an amount or type of data buffered for transmission to the wireless device. Reconfiguration of a receiver bandwidth of the wireless device is initiated to match the second scheduling bandwidth, wherein the second scheduling bandwidth is larger than a first scheduling bandwidth currently associated with the wireless device, and wherein the rust and second scheduling bandwidths respectively define the bandwidth used for scheduling transmissions to the wireless device. Methods and computer programs therefor are also disclosed.
