Abstract: Configuring each of two signals having a frequency bandwidth which is less than a system frequency bandwidth available to the network node for wireless transmissions. The method includes allocating a first signal of the two signals on a first time and frequency resource based on a configuration in which the first signal is included, allocating a second signal of the two signals on a second time and frequency resource based on the configuration, wherein frequency use of the second time and frequency resource is at least partly different from frequency use of the first time and frequency resource, and providing signalling for a wireless communication device enabling the wireless communication device to derive the first and second time and frequency resources. Allocating the first and second signals includes allocating another time and frequency resource adjacent in time or frequency to at least one of the first and the second signals.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for synchronizing one or more radio devices with a radio access node. A method of providing synchronization with a radio access node for radio communication to one or more radio devices is disclosed. The method comprises or triggers transmitting a configuration message to at least one of the radio devices, where the configuration message is indicative of a synchronization signal configuration for a configurable synchronization signal. The method further comprises or triggers transmitting the configurable synchronization signal to the at least one radio device in accordance with the synchronization signal configuration and communicating one or more decodable signals between the radio access node and the at least one radio device using radio resources in accordance with the configurable synchronization signal. A corresponding method of synchronizing the radio device with the radio access node for radio communication is disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for transmission and reception of a wake-up signal having a determined maximum length that is related to a maximum repetition value of another signal are disclosed. Embodiments of a method in a wireless device for determining a maximum length of a wake-up signal representing a maximum duration of the wake-up signal, the WUSmax value being related to a maximum repetition value representing a maximum number of repetitions of signals transmitted by a network node in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, the method in the wireless device includes receiving a Rmax value from the network node, determining a WUSmax value based on the Rmax value, and attempting to detect a wake-up signal from the network node using the determined WUSmax value.

Abstract: A transmission allocation method is disclosed for a network node of a wireless communication system configured to communicate using an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signal comprising sub-carriers in a frequency domain and a symbols in a time domain. The network node is associated with a network node bandwidth comprising a network node direct current (DC) sub-carrier. The network node is configured to communicate with a wireless communication device (WCD) associated with a WCD bandwidth comprising a WCD DC sub-carrier which is different from the network node DC sub-carrier. The method comprises acquiring, in relation to an upcoming communication between the network node and the WCD, at least one of an indication of a receiver DC frequency and an indication of a transmitter DC frequency, determining a transmission allocation for the upcoming communication based on the acquired indication(s), and performing communication based on the transmission allocation.

Abstract: Systems and methods for transmitting and receiving other broadcast information, OBI, are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of wireless communication device for a wireless communication system comprises receiving and decoding a transmission unit in which OBI is collocated with at least a portion of a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB). The SSB comprises a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH). The OBI comprises paging messages, remaining minimum system information (RMSI), and/or random access response (RAR) messages. In some embodiments, the transmission unit is a transmission unit having a duration that is two or more symbols but less than a duration of a full slot. In this manner, resources of the wireless communication system are efficiently utilized, which results in higher link and system capacity as well as lower network power consumption from increased stand-by times.

Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for performing random access in a network. A method is performed by a terminal device and a method is performed by a network node. The terminal device method comprises decoding a time index from received system information. The system information is transmitted with a first symbol duration from a network node and is received by the terminal device at a first time instant. The method comprises determining a second symbol duration from the system information. The method comprises determining a second time instant, in relation to the first time instant, based on the time index, the second symbol duration, and a first receiver parameter. The method comprises transmitting a random access preamble at the second time instant.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) to receive wake-up signals (WUS) from a network node in a radio access network (RAN) coupled to a core network (CN). Such methods include determining a WUS group assigned to the UE and a WUS resource associated with the assigned WUS group, based on the following: a paging probability (PP) indication assigned to the UE; a plurality of discontinuous reception (DRX) parameters; a mapping between a plurality of PP indication values and a plurality of available WUS groups; and a first identifier associated with the UE. Such methods also include, during a time period of the WUS resource, monitoring for a group WUS associated with the assigned WUS group. Embodiments also include complementary methods for network nodes in the RAN and the CN, as well as UEs and network nodes configured to perform such methods. FIG. 10 is selected for publication.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of a communication device, wherein the communication device is configured to operate in connection with an access node associated with a wireless communication network. The method comprises receiving a first data packet comprising a write request for writing code and/or data to a non-volatile memory comprised in the communication device and determining whether a second data packet comprising an identifier associated with the first data packet is received. When it is determined that the second data packet comprising the identifier is received, the method comprises extracting the identifier from the second data packet, wherein the identifier is a radio access layer parameter, determining whether the identifier is trusted, determining whether the identifier is validated when it is determined that the identifier is trusted and accepting at least a subset of the write request when it is determined that the identifier is trusted and validated. Also disclosed is an arrangement of a communication device, method and arrangement of an access node and, a communication device, an access node and computer program product.
