摘要: Apparatus and methods for power detection with enhanced dynamic range are provided. In certain embodiments, a front end system includes a power amplifier that amplifies a radio frequency (RF) input signal to generate an RF output signal, a directional coupler that generates a sensed RF signal based on sensing the RF output signal from the power amplifier, and a power detector that processes the sensed RF signal to generate a detection signal indicating an output power of the power amplifier. Additionally, the power detector includes two or more detection paths providing different amounts of gain to the sensed RF signal from the directional coupler.

摘要: Techniques for implementing and/or operating a radio frequency system, which includes a logic board that outputs an analog electrical signal indicative of data to be wirelessly transmitted from the radio frequency system and a remote head. The remote head includes an antenna that generates an electromagnetic wave to facilitate wirelessly transmitting the data, an antenna integrated circuit implemented using a first semiconductor manufacturing technique, in which the antenna integrated circuit amplifies the analog electrical signal to generate a first amplified analog electrical signal, and a remote front-end integrated circuit coupled between the antenna integrated circuit and the antenna. The remote front-end integrated circuit is implemented using a second semiconductor manufacturing technique different from the first semiconductor manufacturing technique and amplifies the first amplified analog electrical signal based on a target output power of the antenna to generate a second amplified analog electrical signal indicative of the data.

摘要: A wireless wide area network (WWAN) radio includes a first WWAN transceiver/MODEM configured to communicate over one or more WWANs, and a standard power port communicably coupled to the first WWAN transceiver/MODEM. The standard power port is configured as the donor path for a coupled port including a standard power port antenna and configured to transmit at a first maximum power level. The WWAN radio further includes a high-power port communicably coupled to the standard power port and configured to have a fixed gain value high power amplifier and a high power antenna, the high power port configured to transmit at a second maximum power level being greater than the first maximum power level.

摘要: According to an embodiment, an electronic device may comprise: memory storing instructions, a first power amplifier (PA) selectively connected to at least one of a plurality of modulators through a first switch, a first modulator including a second switch connected between the first switch and a first capacitor and a third switch connected to an output end of a first buck converter and being among the plurality of modulators configured to selectively operate in an envelope tracking (ET) mode or an average power tracking (APT) mode, a second modulator including a fourth switch connected between the first switch and a second capacitor and a fifth switch connected to an output end of a second buck converter and being among the plurality of modulators configured to selectively operate in the ET mode or the APT mode, and at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, operatively connected to the first PA, the first modulator, and the second modulator. The instructions, when executed by at least one processor, individually and/or collectively, may cause the electronic device to: control the first modulator to operate in the APT mode based on identifying a first event associated with network communication, control the first switch to connect the first PA to the first modulator and the second modulator; control the second switch, the third switch, and the fourth switch to turn on; and control the fifth switch to turn off based on the first modulator operating in the APT mode.

摘要: A feed forward echo cancellation device includes a first impedance circuit, a second impedance circuit, and an echo cancellation current generator circuit. The first impedance circuit is configured to output a first current to a node in response to a transmission current. The second impedance circuit is configured to output a second current to a node in response to the transmission current. The echo cancellation current generator circuit is configured to drain an echo cancellation current from the node. The node is connected to an input terminal of a programmable gain amplifier circuit via a gain control circuit, and the gain control circuit is configured to set a gain of the programmable gain amplifier circuit.

摘要: Various example embodiments relate to mitigation of a non-linearity in a data communication chain. A method may include: obtaining a data communication signal including a plurality of complex-valued input samples; capturing, from the plurality of complex-valued input samples, a current sample and a set of delayed samples; generating a phase-normalized input signal based on normalizing phase of the current sample and the set of delayed samples by a normalization term, wherein the normalization term is common for the current sample and the set of delayed samples; providing the phase-normalized input signal to a neural network configured to mitigate non-linearity of a data communication chain and to output a complex-valued output sample for each of the plurality of complex-valued input samples; and denormalizing phase of the complex-valued output sample by a denormalization term configured to restore phase of the data communication signal.
