摘要: An antenna device and a method of manufacturing the antenna device are provided. The antenna device includes a circuit board, a chip, an encapsulation layer, and an antenna. The circuit board includes an insulation substrate having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a groove formed on the upper surface; a conductive circuit disposed in the insulation substrate; a first conductive pad disposed in the insulation substrate, connected to the conductive circuit, and exposed from the lower surface; a second conductive pad connected to the conductive circuit, and exposed from the groove; and a third conductive pad exposed from the groove. The chip is disposed in the groove, connected to the second conductive pad, and coupled to the third conductive pad. The encapsulation layer is disposed in the groove, and covers the chip.

摘要: A patterned article includes a unitary polymeric layer and a plurality of electrically conductive elements embedded at least partially in the unitary polymeric layer. Each electrically conductive element includes a conductive seed layer having a top major surface and an opposite bottom major surface in direct contact with the unitary polymeric layer, and includes a metallic body disposed on the top major surface of the conductive seed layer. The metallic body has a bottom major surface and at least one sidewall. The bottom major surface contacts the conductive seed layer. Each sidewall is in direct contact with the unitary polymeric layer and extends from the bottom major surface of the metallic body toward or to, but not past, a top major surface of the unitary polymeric layer. The conductive elements may be electrically isolated from one another. Processes for making the patterned article are described.

摘要: Antenna systems for near-eye devices are described which include multiple resonance sections fed by a single parasitic element. In one example, an antenna has multiple resonance sections which include an open-ended slot antenna section that resonates within a 2.4 GHz frequency band. In one example, the antenna has a monopole section and a dipole section which both resonate within a 5 GHz to 7 GHz frequency band. In one example, a floating dipole is created by locating an open-ended slot antenna parallel to a monopole antenna, where both antennas share the same electrical feed. In one example, multiple resonance sections on one side of a printed circuit board (PCB) are simultaneously electrically fed by a single parasitic element on the other side of the PCB.

摘要: A radio frequency identification (RFID) enabled mirror includes a mirror comprising a reflective layer. The reflective layer comprises at least one layer of a metallic material. At least one portion of the reflective layer is removed to form a booster antenna from a remaining portion of the reflective layer. A dielectric coating is applied to the mirror where the reflective layer was removed. The RFID-enabled mirror further includes an RFID chip coupled to the booster antenna.

摘要: A hybrid radiating element may comprise a dielectric substrate having a thickness, a top surface and a bottom surface, and an electrically conductive patch disposed on the top surface of the dielectric substrate. The hybrid radiating element may further comprise a graphene stub disposed on the top surface of the dielectric substrate. The graphene stub may be contiguous with, and electrically coupled to, the electrically conductive patch. The hybrid radiating element may further comprise an electrically conductive layer disposed on the bottom surface of the dielectric substrate. An array of hybrid radiating elements may be arranged in a grid pattern of M rows and N columns. A codebook set of biasing voltages may be arranged to drive the radiating elements in the array as a phase transformation matrix, thereby manipulating the reflection of an incoming electromagnetic wave.
