摘要: A radio frequency identification (RFID) enabled mirror includes a mirror comprising a reflective layer. The reflective layer comprises at least one layer of a metallic material. At least one portion of the reflective layer is removed to form a booster antenna from a remaining portion of the reflective layer. A dielectric coating is applied to the mirror where the reflective layer was removed. The RFID-enabled mirror further includes an RFID chip coupled to the booster antenna.

摘要: A laminate including: a first ply having a first surface and a second surface, where the first surface is an outer surface of the laminate; a second ply having a third surface facing the second surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface, where the fourth surface is an inner surface of the laminate; an interlayer between the plies; and an enhanced p-polarized reflective coating positioned over at least a portion of a surface of the plies. When the laminate is contacted with radiation having p-polarized radiation at an angle of 60° relative to normal of the laminate, the laminate exhibits a LTA of at least 70% and a reflectivity of the p-polarized radiation of at least 10%. A display system and method of projecting an image in a heads-up display is also disclosed.

摘要: A display device may include a display unit disposed on a substrate and a mirror substrate facing the substrate with respect to the display unit. The mirror substrate may include a first mirror layer extending continuously on a surface of a transparent substrate and a plurality of mirror patterns on the first mirror layer. The first mirror layer is formed on both a region in which the plurality of mirror patterns are formed and a region in which the plurality of mirror patterns are not formed. External light is incident to and reflected by the first mirror layer, thus reducing an image haze and enhancing a display quality of the display device. In addition, the first mirror layer and the plurality of mirror patterns may be formed by using a single halftone mask to simplify the manufacturing process and increase a productivity of the mirror substrate.

摘要: The invention relates to a reflective composite material (V) having a carrier (1) consisting of aluminum, having an interlayer (2) which is present on a side (A) on the carrier (1) and is composed of a varnish, and having an optically active multilayer system (3) which has been applied atop the interlayer (2) and consists of at least three layers, wherein the upper layers (4, 5) are dielectric and/or oxidic layers, and the lowermost layer (6) is a metallic layer which consists of silver and forms a reflection layer (6). To increase the aging resistance, it is proposed that the interlayer (2) comprise an organic layer-forming varnish or be formed entirely from such a varnish that has been cured in an ionic photopolymerization and crosslinking or that has been cured after UV irradiation by free-radical photopolymerization and crosslinking.

摘要: A method for coating substrates is provided. The method includes diamond turning a substrate to a surface roughness of between about 60 Å and about 100 Å RMS, wherein the substrate is one of a metal and a metal alloy. The method further includes polishing the diamond turned surface of the substrate to a surface roughness of between about 10 Å and about 25 Å to form a polished substrate, heating the polished substrate, and ion bombarding the substrate with an inert gas. The method includes depositing a coating including at least one metallic layer on the ion bombarded surface of the substrate using low pressure magnetron sputtering, and polishing the coating to form a finished surface having a surface roughness of less than about 25 Å RMS using a glycol based colloidal solution.

摘要: A textured reflector for a solar cell of thin film type is produced by deposition of a metal film on a support through openings of a mask. The mask is formed by a thin film formed by coplanar and preferably joined balls, the gaps between the balls forming the openings of the mask. The thin film is further advantageously formed by balls made from silica or from polymer material.
