Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may aggregate multiple data bits into a group of data bits associated with an application on the device. The device may determine quality of service parameters associated with the group of data bits. The quality of service parameters may include an error rate associated with the group of data bits, a delay budget associated with the group of data bits, timing information associated with the group of data bits, or content policy information associated with the group of data bits, or a combination thereof. The device may transmit the group of data bits to another device in the wireless communication system. The group of data bits may include group header information including an indication of the quality of service parameters.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for generating equivalent nonlinear noise. The method includes randomly generating white noise obeying zero-mean Chi-square distribution; and filtering the input white noise by using an equivalent nonlinear noise spectrum as an equivalent nonlinear filter to obtain the equivalent nonlinear noise. According to the embodiments of the present application, equivalent nonlinear noise may be generated based on zero-mean Chi-square distribution random variables combined with equivalent nonlinear noise spectrum filtering, and more accurate equivalent nonlinear noise than the related art may be generated, thus accurately evaluating an influence of nonlinearity of devices on Bit Error Rate (BER).

Abstract: Wireless communication techniques that include PTRS resource density recommendation and selection techniques are discussed. A UE may transmit to a base station a set of phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) resource density recommendations that are determined based, at least in part, on a block error rate (BLER). The base station may transmit to the UE an indication of PTRS resource densities to use for wireless communication of the PTRS based, at least in part, on the BLER associated with the received set of PTRS resource density recommendations. The base station and/or the UE may at least one of receive or transmit a PTRS based, at least in part, on the indicated PTRS resource densities. Abstract: Beam failure recovery (BFR) in a multiple Downlink Control Information (mDCI) mode may include receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a Downlink Reference Signal (DL RS) set from a next generation Node B (gNB). The DL RS set may be associated with a link between the UE and the gNB and indicate beam failure detection (BFD) is to be performed for the link. The BFR may further include performing, by the UE, a beam failure detection (BFD) for the link using the DL RS set, and performing, by the UE, a candidate beam detection (CBD) for the link, the CBD determining a candidate beam for the link by determining a beam having a reference signal receiving power (RSRP) that is larger than an RSRP threshold. The BFR may further include transmitting, by the UE, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) indicating the link to the gNB.

Abstract: A data transmission method is provided. The data transmission method may be applied to a multi-link operation between a first multi-link device (MLD) and a second MLD. The data transmission method may include the following steps. A processor of the first MLD may perform a spatial reuse transmission on at least one link between the first MLD and the second MLD. Then, the processor may dispatch data frames with the same traffic identifier (TID) for all links between the first MLD and the second MLD based on the physical layer (PHY) rates and packet error rates of all links between the first MLD and the second MLD. Then, the processor may transmit the data frames to the second MLD based on the dispatch result.

Abstract: Technologies for optimizing post-FEC bit error rate performance of a Forward Error Correction (FEC) system are described. A controller is coupled to an FEC circuit and a receiver circuit. The controller receives FEC symbol error data from the receiver circuit and determines, using the FEC symbol error data, a post-FEC correlated performance metric indicative of an estimated post-FEC BER of the FEC circuit. The controller adjusts, based on the post-FEC correlated performance metric, at least one of a FEC parameter of the FEC circuit or a link parameter of the receiver circuit to decrease the estimated post-FEC BER. This improves the post-FEC BER performance of the FEC circuit.
