Abstract: Embodiments of receiver device and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, a receiver device comprises a wireless transceiver arranged to receive and transmit packets, and a controller operably coupled to the wireless transceiver to process the packets, wherein the controller is configured to receive a packet from a transmitter device and process the packet using one or more of dual correlators and dual finite state machines (FSMs), wherein the dual correlators include a first correlator to detect extended long-range (ELR) packets and a second correlator to detect non-ELR packets, and wherein the dual FSMs include a first FSM to process the ELR packets and a second FSM to process the non-ELR packets.

Abstract: Systems and methods to transmit data over multiple communication channels in parallel with forward error correction. Original packets are evenly distributed to the channels as the initial systematically channel-encoded packets. Subsequent channel-encoded packets are configured to be linearly independent of their base sets of channel-encoded packets, where a base set for a subsequent channel-encoded packet includes those scheduled to be transmitted before the subsequent packet in the same channel as the subsequent packet, and optionally one or more initial packets from other channels. The compositions of the sequences of the encoded packets can be predetermined without the content of the packets; and the channel-encoded packets can be generated from the original packets on-the-fly by the transmitters of the channels during transmission. When a sufficient number of packets have been received via the channels, a recipient may terminate their transmissions.

Abstract: A radio terminal (3) can perform carrier aggregation using a first cell (10) of a first radio station (1) and a second cell (20) of a second radio station (2). The first radio station (1) or the second radio station (2) transmits constraint information to the radio terminal (3). The constraint information contains an information element necessary to specify a reception constraint and/or transmission constraint related to the first cell (10) and/or the second cell (20) when the carrier aggregation is performed. The reception/transmission constraint is a constraint related to downlink signal reception/uplink signal transmission by the radio terminal over one or more subframe periods of the primary cell (10) and the secondary cell (20). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to reduction in wasteful power consumption in the radio terminal in the carrier aggregation of a plurality of cells served by different radio stations.

Specifically, the rearranging unit rearranges the information data in such a way that continuous Kmax×(q−1) pieces of information data after rearrangement are contained in different information packets. The rearranging unit distributes the information data to information blocks from n information packets, where n satisfies the formula Kmax×(q−1)≤n.
