摘要: Dialysis systems are disclosed comprising new fluid flow circuits. Systems may include blood and dialysate flow paths, where the dialysate flow path includes balancing, mixing, and/or directing circuits. Dialysate preparation may be decoupled from patient dialysis. Circuits may be defined within one or more cassettes. The fluid circuit fluid flow paths may be isolated from electrical components. A gas supply in fluid communication with the dialysate flow path and/or the dialyzer able to urge dialysate through the dialyzer and urge blood back to the patient may be included for certain emergency situations. Fluid handling devices, such as pumps, valves, and mixers that can be actuated using a control fluid may be included. Control fluid may be delivered by an external pump or other device, which may be detachable and/or generally rigid, optionally with a diaphragm dividing the device into first and second compartments.

摘要: A method of processing blood includes receiving from a touch screen user input data for a protocol for a wash procedure. The user input data includes a numeric value. The method includes storing the protocol in a memory, receiving an identifier from a user, determining if the identifier permits the user to modify the protocol and receiving a modification of the protocol from the user. The method includes providing a plurality of authorizations, a second authorization being a default and an administrator authorization permitting the user to change a setting. The method includes comparing a password to a password stored in memory and, if there is a match, determining that the password is associated with an administrator. If a command to change the setting is received, the command is applied to change the setting. The blood is processed employing a wash procedure using the modified protocol and the changed setting.

摘要: This extracorporeal circulation cassette is provided with: a blood circuit (10) comprising a flexible tube and having a blood tube access portion set in a predetermined position in a device; a dialysate circuit (12) comprising a flexible tube and having a dialysate tube access portion set in a predetermined position in the device; a first panel (4) and a second panel (6) that are rigid and that integrate the blood circuit (10) and the dialysate circuit (12) while sandwiching the blood circuit (10) and the dialysate circuit (12) from both sides; and a window portion formed in a part of at least one of the first panel (4) and the second panel (6), disposed in a predetermined position in the device. The blood tube access portion and the dialysate tube access portion are positioned in the window portion.

The blood purification system includes an extracting unit that searches histories accumulated in a storage unit and extracts, as reference histories, a plurality of histories each including any of events having occurred during the current session of blood purification treatment or a plurality of histories each including a parameter approximate to that observed during the current session of blood purification treatment; a list-creating unit that creates a list of the plurality of reference histories extracted by the extracting unit; and a display control unit that controls the list created by the list-creating unit to be displayed on a display unit.

摘要: Dialyzer systems can consolidate multiple technologies and functionalities of blood treatment systems in a significantly integrated fashion. For example, this disclosure describes dialyzer systems that include a magnetically driven and magnetically levitating pump rotor integrated into the dialyzer. Such a dialyzer can be used with treatment modules that include a magnetic field-generating pump drive unit. In some embodiments, the dialyzers include pressure sensor chambers with flexible membranes with which corresponding pressure transducers of the treatment modules can interface to detect arterial and/or venous pressures.

摘要: A method of performing dialysis includes: recirculating a dialysis fluid from a patient or a dialyzer for at least two cycles, each cycle contacting the dialysis fluid first with a zirconium phosphate layer followed by at least one of a urease layer, a zirconium oxide layer, or a carbon layer; storing the recirculated dialysis fluid in a storage container; and transferring the dialysis fluid from the storage container to the patient or the dialyzer. In one example, the zirconium phosphate layer and the at least one of the urease layer, the zirconium oxide layer, or the carbon layer is provided by a sorbent cartridge.

The system also includes a controller configured to operate the spinning membrane to receive biological fluid and to direct the target cells to the first container, to pause to permit magnetic particles to be associated with the target cells in the first container, to operate the spinning membrane to receive the contents of the first container with the magnet applied to the target cells associated with the magnetic particles, to remove or deactivate the magnet, and to transfer the target cells to the second container.
