摘要: A method for diagnosing the absence of an under-engine protection of a motor vehicle, includes: estimating a temperature of air external to the vehicle, estimating an under-hood temperature, determining whether the external-air temperature value is below the under-hood temperature value, in the affirmative, calculating an absolute value of a difference between the external-air temperature measurement and the under-hood temperature measurement, determining a diagnostic criterion by calculating a difference between the absolute value and a predetermined absolute value, obtained in the presence of the under-engine protection, comparing the diagnostic criterion against a predetermined diagnostic threshold, and emitting a diagnostic signal dependent on the result of the comparison.

摘要: An engine fluid temperature regulating system and method for an engine is provided. The system includes a bypass line configured to be connected in parallel with a heat exchanger between an inlet and an outlet thereof, as well as a flow regulator configurable to regulate a proportion of fluid flowing through the bypass line and heat exchanger, respectively, between the inlet and the outlet. A control unit may be provided to regulate the proportion of fluid flowing through the bypass line and heat exchanger, and temperature sensor may be provided to measure temperatures used to regulate the proportion of fluid flowing through the bypass line and heat exchanger.

摘要: A method of initializing operation of a shutter arranged relative to a grille opening in a vehicle having a power-plant includes detecting a start-up of the power-plant. The method also includes sensing a temperature of ambient air. The method also includes commanding the shutter to achieve a fully-opened position when the temperature of ambient air is above a predetermined value such that a flow of ambient air to the power-plant through the grille opening is substantially unrestricted. The method additionally includes commanding the shutter to achieve a fully-closed position when a temperature of the power-plant is maintained below a threshold value such that the flow of ambient air through the grille opening to the power-plant is substantially blocked. A vehicle using a controller configured to perform the above method is also provided.

摘要: A rail vehicle has a diesel engine, an engine radiator and a cooling circuit that connects the diesel engine to the engine radiator. A cooling liquid is circulated in the cooling circuit, a cooling liquid temperature of the circulated cooling liquid and an outer air temperature of the atmospheric outer air are detected. The outer air temperature is compared with the outer air limit temperature, the cooling power of the engine radiator is set in such a way that the cooling liquid temperature corresponds to a normal operating temperature if the outer air temperature is less than the outer air limit temperature. The cooling power of the engine radiator is set such that the cooling liquid temperature corresponds to a lower operating temperature below the normal operating temperature if the outer air temperature is greater than the outer air limit temperature.

摘要: To provide a shutter grille device that can reduce the number of opening and closing operations and extend product life. A shutter grille device includes: a shutter grille provided in an air intake for guiding air into a power station in which a power source of a vehicle is provided; and a controller that controls opening and closing of the shutter grille. The controller disables closing of the shutter grille during a first interval after opening of the shutter grille, and has a second interval before enabling opening of the shutter grille after closing; and the first interval is set longer than the second interval.

摘要: An engine cooling device for a vehicle of the present invention includes: an engine cooling circuit that circulates a cooling liquid to an engine and a heat exchanger; a reservoir tank that is connected to the engine cooling circuit, and that stores the cooling liquid to absorb pressure changes within the engine cooling circuit; at least one or more cooling liquid circulating circuits that circulates the cooling liquid to devices installed in the vehicle; a switching section that selectively switches between either of a communicating state of communicating the engine cooling circuit and the cooling liquid circulating circuit, and a cut-off state of cutting-off the engine cooling circuit and the cooling liquid circulating circuit; and a control section that, in a case in which an ignition switch is turned off, controls the switching section such that the communicating state is set.

摘要: Upon a valve rotation angle of a flow rate control valve exceeding a radiator-flow-path closed position during changing of the valve rotation angle of the flow rate control valve in an opening direction of a radiator flow path from a closed state of the radiator flow path, a cooling water starts to circulate through the radiator flow path, and an outlet water temperature or an inlet water temperature of an engine starts to drop. The radiator-flow-path closed position is learned as a valve rotation angle of the flow rate control valve immediately before the outlet water temperature or the inlet water temperature starts to drop during changing of the valve rotation angle of the flow rate control valve in the opening direction of the radiator flow path from the closed state of the radiator flow path.
