摘要: A controller for an internal combustion engine is configured to execute a dither control process, a purge control process, and a limiting process. The dither control process operates the fuel injection valves such that at least one of the cylinders is a lean combustion cylinder, in which the air-fuel ratio is leaner than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio, and at least another one of the cylinders is a rich combustion cylinder, in which the air-fuel ratio is richer than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. The purge control process controls the purge flow rate by operating the adjustment device. The limiting process limits the purge control process such that, when the dither control process is being executed, the purge flow rate is reduced as compared to a case in which the dither control process is not being executed.

摘要: Even when a positive/negative surge is applied to a power-supply line, occurrence of malfunction in a semiconductor device is lessened. In an in-vehicle semiconductor device, regulators convert an externally-supplied voltage to generate voltages. A voltage monitoring unit includes a voltage monitoring circuit and a switch, and monitors first to third voltages. An internal circuit has a processor operated by the voltage, and an oscillator operated by the voltage and generating a clock signal to be provided the processor. The voltage monitoring unit stops providing the clock signal to the processor when the voltage level of at least any one of the first to third voltages is below a set value. The voltage monitoring unit provides the clock signal to the processor when the voltage levels of all the first to third voltages exceed the set value.

The injection control device includes a current detection unit to detect a driving current supplied to a solenoid of the fuel injection valve, an identification unit to identify a theoretical model of the driving current in a state where a movable core moved by an electromagnetic force generated by the solenoid is at rest, and a state detection unit to detect a state of the movable core. The state detection unit detects the state of the movable core, based on a deviation between the driving current detected by the current detection unit and the theoretical model.

摘要: An EGR rate estimation method using an EGR valve opening area involves aggravated EGR rate estimation accuracy as an EGR valve is deteriorated and is unable to satisfy required accuracy when a target EGR rate is high. With a method for correcting a fuel injection amount by a fuel injection valve through estimation of a purge air-fuel ratio on the basis of variations in an air-fuel ratio variable depending on whether purging is performed, the fuel injection correction fails to accommodate the change in the air-fuel ratio when concentration of fuel evaporative emissions adsorbed by an activated carbon of a canister is high, resulting in reduced conversion efficiency of a catalyst. An arrangement includes an introduction port that is disposed in an intake pipe and through which a gas other than fresh air flows in the intake pipe and humidity sensors disposed upstream and downstream, respectively, of the introduction port. The EGR rate or the purge air-fuel ratio in the intake pipe is estimated using detection values of the respective humidity sensors.

For a time period from a system-on operation to a system-off operation, the warm-up determination parameter is incremented when the engine is in operation, while being decremented after satisfaction of a predetermined condition when the engine is not in operation.
