摘要: A fuel injector supplying fuel to a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a main body, a first nozzle needle moveably guided in a first needle guide, a first needle fuel chamber interacting with the first nozzle needle for a first liquid fuel, coupled to the combustion chamber by first channels. The first channels, via first inner openings, are connected to the first needle fuel chamber, having a second nozzle needle moveably guided in a second needle guide, a second needle fuel chamber interacting with the second nozzle needle for a second liquid fuel, coupled via second channels to the combustion chamber. The second channels are connected via second inner openings to the second needle fuel chamber. The first inner openings are arranged on a first circular contour and the second inner openings on a second circular contour extending concentrically about the first circular contour.

摘要: A fuel injector includes a nozzle body, at least one injection orifice formed through an injection end of the nozzle body, and a tubular valve disposed in a bore of the nozzle body that moves between open and closed positions. Apertures formed through a wall of the tubular valve permit fuel to flow freely between opposite ends and along an inner surface of the valve, regardless of any limitations imposed by an annular gap between the valve and nozzle body. The injector provides exceptionally high fuel flow rates without increasing valve lift or injection orifice size over conventional diesel fuel injectors, making it ideal for synthetic fuels such as DME.

摘要: A fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, in particular for directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve includes a solenoid, an armature acted upon in a closing direction by a return spring through the solenoid, and a valve needle connected to the armature in force-locking fashion for actuating a valve closing body, which together with a valve seat surface forms a sealing seat. An adjustment element for adjusting the spring force of a return spring is arranged in a connecting sleeve serving the inlet side fuel supply. The adjustment element is bounded outwardly by a thin-walled sleeve. The sleeve includes an axially aligned sleeve jacket and a radially extending sleeve base. The wall thickness of the sleeve base is reinforced relative to the wall thickness of the sleeve jacket of the sleeve.

摘要: A fuel injection device includes a fuel injection valve at a position corresponding to a portion between intake ports in an internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve includes a body and a needle inside the body. The fuel injection valve is disposed closer to a piston of the internal combustion engine than the intake ports are to the piston. A single fuel injection passage for conducting gaseous fuel is present between a valve seat of the fuel injection valve and a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. The flow cross section of the gaseous fuel in the fuel injection passage is larger on a side closer to the piston of the internal combustion engine than on a side closer to an ignition plug of the internal combustion engine over a specified length in an extending direction of the fuel injection passage.

A plastic overmolding forms at least part of a valve housing. The support ring engaging under the sealing ring is positioned on the fuel injection valve in such a way that it rests directly on an upper end face of the plastic overmolding facing the sealing ring, so that the axial support of the sealing ring is provided indirectly via the plastic overmolding. The fuel injection valve is suitable, in particular, for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing external spark-ignition combustion engine.

In one example, a nozzle needle is moved in two directions to maintain fuel flow through the direct fuel injector and to reduce the possibility of the nozzle needle impacting a piezoelectric actuator. The calibration spring is preloaded by press-fitting a fixing region of the calibration spring with a fixing element, wherein the fixing region of the calibration spring extends from the upper part. The calibration spring comprises an adjustment cap arranged around the upper part of the spring element and press-fitted with the fixing element. A circumferential side wall of the adjustment cap provides the fixing region.
