Abstract: The invention relates to an aerodynamic deflector device (7) for a motor vehicle wheel, including: a mounting (11) configured to be mounted on a motor vehicle; a deflecting wall (15) mounted on the mounting (11) so as to be movable between a retracted position in which, in the mounted state, said deflecting wall (15) is raised relative to the mounting (11), and an extended position in which, in the mounted state, said deflecting wall (15) is lowered relative to the mounting (11) and capable of being placed upstream from the wheel (3) of the vehicle; and an actuator (19) configured to move said deflecting wall (15) between the retracted and extended positions. According to the invention, the deflecting wall (15) has, in cross-section, a central portion (15A) and two side portions (15B, 15C) flaring out from the central portion (15A) so as to obtain a shape which diverges with respect to the direction of the air flow (10) striking said wall (15). The invention likewise relates to a motor vehicle including an aerodynamic deflector device (7) arranged upstream from a vehicle wheel (3).

Abstract: A mud guard portion is placed on a vehicle rear side relative to a rear tire. This makes it possible to restrain mud or the like splashed by the rear tire from hitting an underfloor. Further, an inside flow regulating portion is provided adjacently to an inner side of the mud guard portion in the vehicle width direction, and the inside flow regulating portion extends from its upper end toward a vehicle lower side and toward the vehicle rear side. Hereby, when a travel wind flowing on an inner side of the rear tire in the vehicle width direction in the wheel house hits the inside flow regulating portion, the travel wind flows toward the vehicle rear side along a deflection wall portion of the inside flow regulating portion. Accordingly, turbulence of the air on a vehicle rear side of the rear tire due to the travel wind is restrained.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, there is provided an air conditioning system for a vehicle. The vehicle may be a locomotive. The air conditioning system includes a combination module for mounting in or on a vehicle. The combination module includes a condenser coil and a compressor assembly. The compressor assembly includes an electric motor. The combination module may be mounted to cover a hole in an outer wall or floor of the vehicle, such that air enters the hole ventilates the condenser coil. The system also includes at least one air handler for mounting in a cab of the vehicle, remote from combination module. Each air handler comprises a respective evaporator coil. A combination module including a compressor assembly is also provided. A method for installing the combination module is also provided.

Abstract: A generator set for a transport refrigeration unit that is operable at a first frequency and a second frequency. The generator set includes a generator and a prime mover. The generator set is controlled by an electronic control unit (ECU) that is coupled to a controller. The ECU is configured to monitor the engine operation condition to obtain an engine operation condition value; whereas the controller is configured to receive the engine operation condition value and compare the value with an engine operation condition threshold. When the engine operation condition value, for example, exceeds the engine operation condition threshold, the controller instructs the ECU to operate the engine at a first speed; and when the engine operation condition value, for example, is below the engine operation condition threshold, the controller instructs the ECU to operate the engine at a second speed that is slower than the first speed.
